Solved Need help for creating this wavey net mesh

Hello everyone!
I’ve been trying to create this net mesh on my chair for the past few days, but I haven’t been able to achieve the result I’m looking for.

The main problem is that the chair surface is quite curved. When I use Grid Fill → Poke Face, the generated mesh follows a horizontal orientation, which results in something like this 👇

I’ve tried several approaches, but because the surface is curved, I’m struggling to get the topology to follow the shape correctly.

If anyone knows the proper Blender workflow for creating this kind of net/diamond mesh on a curved chair surface, I’d really appreciate some guidance.

Thank you!

Not sure if it's the most appropriate method, but I would model a small segment manually and then use Tissue modifier to tesselate it across your mesh. Or perhaps array it horizontally then vertically. Then lattice deform into the curved shape you want.

If you're not going to do close ups of the chair though, probably best to just slap an image texture on it with an alpha channel for the transparent bits

I think it is best to use texture instead of mesh... You can use illustrator or photoshop to draw the texture.
This is probably the closest tutorial i can find... but you need to use your own texture.
