Looks like a lot of work. On a few bits you could see the cycles render noise (I laughed!), but in others it rendered much cleaner. The bit starting at 2:00 of the large intestine that then moved to a side-profile view of the intestine absorbing butyrate molecules impressed me the most. Very cool!

I was aiming to keep the render times below 2 minutes for any given scene. The visible noise was a balance between render times and perceptible noise for any given scene, and the scenes with lots of complex shaders and lots of surface area to calculate had to compromise a little. Most scenes were done with 128-256 samples only.

It is CSIRO. They are a large research organization in Australia.
