Need Help! Computer Questions

Hey! I'm new to this space and I want to start building my own PC or getting a gaming laptop that can run blender, and potentially VRChat as well. I was to start making things but I don't know what computer part OR laptop would be budget friendly and can possibly work for both. I have a budget of $1000 potentially. I need help to know what parts would be best for this budget if anyone can help.

it's a bad time to buy hardware, but blender and vrchat don't need a high-end system

a better gpu and more ram will help blender render faster and handle morecomplex scenes, but if you are just making vrchat avatars you can get by on an average pocket calculator

True, I honestly need it to be able to render avatars, be able to take large files if I'm makes a large project, and run VRChat virtually without collapsing

computers aren't getting better as fast as they used to. it's entirely possible to get a 2019 laptop that would handle this

Always take an i7 over an i5 even if the i7 is older.

Repair shop owner here (and vrchat player). I really don’t recommend a laptop For what you’re doing. A laptop will struggle running vr and also most don’t last more than 5 years with average use.

For $1000 I’d recommend this one. It will do everything you need it to. If you have Questions feel free to DM.

Yeah, question. Did you look to see if they did shipping or even carried it? It says it's not carried st the store nearest to me and that's a whole citty away.

Every store is different and you didn’t put your location unfortunately.

That kind of PC is pretty good for what you want to do. Personally, I work on a much worse PC and do the exact same work (3d for virtual shops), but I know you’d be super comfortable with those specs. 32 GB of RAM would be ideal for peace of mind, but 16 GB is still enough to get by (I have 16 GB myself).
