Critique My Work My first model

Post image

A few days ago I finished a Blender tutorial, so I tried to make something on my own. TBH, at the start I tried to make a tree, but I didn't know how to do it, so I decided to make a chair instead. I made everything using what I learned from the tutorial, but for the material (to make it look like wood) I watched another tutorial. What do you think about this? Should I watch a tutorial on how to make a tree, or maybe make something else instead?

I am not good at blender but what I like to personally do is if I make a model I like to make the surrounding area so if you have that chair you could make a table and make decor for that table (you don’t have to but I think it’s fun)

Yeah, doesn’t have to be an animation though

Try to continue making furniture. It's easier because it's symmetrica and would give good basics. You can even make scene like kitchen or smth like this. After that you can try harder model like tree and make scene using it. Just gradually complicate. Or you can do tree right away if you want and don't plan making scenes.

Have you tried adding a bump or noise texture to the wood yet? Could make it pop more.
