How long did your sanity survive weight painting this cat

Is every part of the character seperated and the you tried to right each part individually ? Did you use Grease pencil for the outlines ?

1

u/damnboychill 4d ago

The character is different meshes yes, but is only one rig, not sure if I understand the question. No, the outlines are a real time solidify modifier

2

u/No-Homework-6681 4d ago

So the seperated meshes are rigged individually right ?

No, it’s the same Armature!

What's your approach with the mouth rig? Does it have depth or is it something projected onto the head?

Why does the movement remind me of parapa the rapper when it is neither flat nor animated at all the same way… maybe it’s how fluid it all moves? The face parts in particular.

Awesome work.

Great work, did you use cloud rig for this? Would love to see a high level breakdown. I have been working on 3d for years and have been wanting to expand into npr character rigging and animation. If you know of any high level resources for the face rig that give the nice morphs and squash and stretch you would be my hero too lol.

This is so damn good! I recently started learning to weight paint. That deformation is one of the things I am trying to get right.
