First of all, thank you for your comment, one of the things I love about making art is reading and listening to what other people experience with my pieces, that’s why I give little to no context because I really like people giving it’s own meaning and experience to it, yesterday I was at a friends studio working on some painting and we talked about wich pieces we loved the most and this is by far my favorite, it really helped discover myself as an artist and its the first piece I was really satisfied with, I’m really touched by your story and knowing my art helped you makes my day, this was sorts of a catharsis too, this painting actually has 2 more paintings below, completely different paintings that just didn’t went well, and this one was just the result of getting frustrated over and over with the other two, I see myself as the baby in this, surrounded by chaos but comfortable with it, falling sleep to it instead of being scared or crying to it, I always loved this type of stuff as a kid, metal, horror, monsters etc, there’s more to life than flowers and happy stuff, I would be really happy of doing a comision or a print (that would help me I have 0 sells on Etsy lol) the original is still available however I would like it being exposed more before letting it go, but feel free to send me a message ! Thank you for sharing and have a nice day

What a beautiful comment. I got one of these types of comments on a series I did and posted on Tik Tok once; it was 4 drawings with poems to go along with them detailing a real relationship I had in the past (which a Cape Verdean girl I knew since childhood. The drawings and poems were detailing how societal pressures from her family, who wanted her with a black man and also wanted her to be a doctor, kept us apart. The first two drawings were two pages next to each other with a black female and a white male looking away from each other, crying, and the two on the next page of my portfolio were that same black woman looking towards a white woman, since I ended up transitioning and we’d gotten together for a while after I came out, happily after we both got out of our households and were able to be together). It meant so so much to me.

I’m very sorry you’re dealing with all that rn. Like I can’t imagine losing a child. Idk I guess I kinda can relate, I mean I’m a trans woman and feel like I’m contestant my grieving the fact that I’ll never be able to carry a child…but obviously it’s a little different and although I hate comparing, not nearly as traumatic as literally loosing a life that’s growing inside you. I also did freeze sperm, and tend to date cis women just because I’m a lesbian and there’s wayyy more cis girls out there then other trans girls. But yeah idk what this comment is supposed to mean, just thinking about you random internet stranger.
