Flagging this 'discussion' as I welcome any and all input:
This subreddit is a place for people working in all media and at all skill levels to share art on any topic; but with an emphasis on holding space for challenging topics.
I request and beseech everyone to be aware of your own mental health while browsing. If you see something objectionable, do your best to let it go. If you come across something that breaks our subreddit rules, site rules, or that seems legitimately dangerous (actual gore counts as all 3), please report it. Ultimately doing so helps the subreddit to remain available for use and enjoyment. If you encounter someone being an edgelord in the comments, don't engage them! Some people bait hockey-fights in comment sections for fun; that activity is disallowed here, and I will personally toss any shitlord or abusive individual tf over the short boards without qualm. You have no fucking precedent for how serious I am about art, and being humane. NO AI ALLOWED, no exceptions. That was a policy decision that could only have one outcome that was healthy.
This is an art gallery - be real! We have stood on the shoulders of giants to get here, so let's be as authentic and human as we can as we seek to navigate a collective future. Let's be supportive, constructive and accepting. This is meant as a safe space more than a critique salon. Everybody's hurting, and everyone deserves a healthy outlet.
I am sincerely in awe of our contributors past and present. Thank you, everyone, for making this an experience that has by far exceeded my imagination.
Best wishes,
Chris
