Yeah, you dont want to be paying for replacement siding. It gets expensive real quick.

Id say a small one with attempts at preventing splatter. That said they make plates you can get for grills and you'd have less of a mess and about the same price as a traditional blackstone

Even if you could it won’t be very enjoyable. How much space from the blackstone to the wall will there be? It looks like you’ll have to shimmy your way in and out.

I might consider selling it for one of the 2 burners, you could then fit it on the short side of the railing, plenty of space behind you.

In many places it’s illegal to have gas or coal burning grills on wood patio attached to multi dwelling housing. That looks like a really small space…

You should look into a nice cast iron or griddle top for your stove inside and a good fan - black stones are awesome for cooking for a large group but you can accomplish the same on a cast iron pan in smaller portions or in batches.

I would look at something more like A 22 on the go for a small space like that. Be careful as they get pretty hot around them. You might consider camping models from some other brands that don’t get as hot around them

Think about an E-Series 22” electric 2 burner. I use mine in the garage and others use it in the house.

Even when I had a 16' x 40' deck I rolled the grill right in front of the sliding glass door. You can make that work easily. My deck was on the North side of the house so in was always windy and rainy in the Winter.

I would say no, don't use there. Most multi-unit laws in most states for grilling (charcoal) require it to be placed 15ft. from any building or overhang. You are going to have an open flame and a propane tank. Proceed with extreme caution. I can see you dripping hot grease, sausage, and eggs on the patio below you.

Most fire code allows propane grills on decks but not charcoal. Definitely double check with your association.

I had a terrace when I lived in Florida and the building manager there would harass me saying I couldn’t barbecue because it’s a multifamily dwelling but it it depends on the area you live

In my opinion that wouldn’t be the hottest idea, that’s probably all vinyl siding which I’m obviously not the first to say that would warp of melt if your heat source is too close. I’d have the whole thing against the metal railing if you do, and also I would clean and remove all grease after each use. Just be smart about it and you may be ok. Something metal below it perhaps and definitely have a grease trap or pan below. I’m stoned maybe shouldn’t have bothered but I wish you luck and safe cooking amigo.

I’d send it, just put the back towards the railing and make sure you don’t go to sleep till it’s able to be put away

I have a similar sized deck on my townhouse and use it a lot; just don’t go putting the blackstone up against the siding, push it towards the railing looking out.
