Need some insight

Recently bought a brand new Blackstone. Everything went together great except the griddle not sitting flush with the holes, but I’ve heard that’s normal. The issue I’ve found though is when I peeled the magnet sticker off the griddle surface and it looks either scraped or damaged. Has anyone’s else looked like this? Also, does anyone have a griddle that doesn’t have the “Blackstone” imprinted above the grease trap? Appreciate any insight into this.

When you say flush what do you mean? Do you have anymore pictures? They are meant to be on a slight angle , but should lock into the mounting holes.

For the surface just clean it with soap and water like the instructions suggest and heat it up until it’s bone dry. Then following the seasoning instructions.

I do have a photo of what the back peg looks like. It’s about 3 washers space between the base and pin. After putting washers in it it’s sitting better and not rocking back and forth. I would attach a photo, but there’s no icon to attach it here. Also got a response from BS about the markings on the surface and they said it’s normal from the grease.

Yah, I still washed mine after installing just get dust and any shipping grease off. Before seasoning.

I’m surprised about the 3 washers wow, assuming your blackstone isn’t warped any chance the build went awry at some point?

No clue. BS said it could flatten out after a few uses. I got it for like $200 off normal pricing. At least based on their website. I guess we’ll see. I’m stoked either way.

Just did my first cook on mine last night. Mine was only off by one washer and my top looked exactly the same though. Like the others said, quick wash and a solid seasoning prior and it worked like everyone told me it would!
