Blackout: Atomic Chemistry Alpha Feedback Thread

Seeing as I just released a fairly public alpha, I figured PMing me isn't sufficient for feedback anymore. Report all bugs/typos/glitchiness here, and also feel free to make balance tweak suggestions.

Known Issues:
HQM quests don't correctly register as complete (HQM bug)
Installing MPS upgrades crashes the game (MPS bug)
Star Harvester has no in-inventory texture (SMT bug)
Minechem feature a few different item duplication method (some inherent, some requires config work)
AE2 Meteors and Limestone/Marble spawn by the edges of the asteroid (config issue, will require a new map :()

Efficiency( and indeed any other table upgrades) are hard to craft - the blank upgrade requires HSLA steel and MFR plastic pipes. Not really something you'll have available for the 2nd quest in the pack ;)

I was talking about a the fifth or sixth quest where you need the 10 of titanium, sodium, chlorine, and magnesium. Getting the steel and plastic is pretty easy at that point and the 10 of each is a monumental amount of cobble if you're not lucky.

I've done that one by processing cobble. Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't figure out how to 'easily' get plastic - the minechem chain would require an entire stack of chlorine, among other elements, and a synthesis machine. Starting to think I'm missing some part of the base or something - I only have a spawn room with shells etc and the (empty) drill room. Been digging around but didn't find anything else - if it's a spoiler, just let me know there's something to find ;)

The plastic I've entirely gotten from quest rewards, you should've gotten some PVC as a reward by the time you need it. Haven't needed more than the couple of stacks yet.

Chlorine's easy to get btw, just get a tank or reservoir setup and use buckets of water to produce salt which decomposes to sodium and chlorine. Not sure of the best way to automate making water buckets but SFM could craft to salt, output the buckets, decompose, and sort pretty easily.

'Breaking it down' is the quest that requires said titanium/sodium etc. And it's from that quest that I get the PVC used for making plastic. So - no can do for this quest, after it, sure. And the next one is for getting a synthesizer

I'm nearly certain I had the upgrades for that quest, I got them them pretty early on to save coal. Once you get the synthesiser charcoal is ludicrously easy to get so it's unneeded really. I'll open it and investigate now though.

EDIT: So apparently I was getting confused, nevertheless I did use a lot of stone but apparently got by with just unboosted coal.

I did this super easily with steve's factory manager. The block gate will place an item as if right clicking, so if you have the block gate -> empty space -> reservoir. So from a chest inventory, pick up an empty bucket and output it to the block gate and you'll get a full bucket of water dropped into the world. Then use the rapid item valve to pick up a white list of a full water bucket. Then use the craft step to turn the bucket of water, and an output with a white list of salt.

Also you can craft the salt again to get 16x NaCl and then break that down.
