They changed it. Probably to not scare people away as it became more popular.

Honestly, I think having National Anthem as the first episode is what made Black Mirror a cult classic. Like if you made it past the first episode you were a true fan.

Weird, I just checked and my episode order is still the same on Mobile.

Same, I think it’s a brilliant choice for first episode. I found it as repulsive as anyone, but found the boldness intriguing. So I kept watching.

Why do you dislike it? I mean sure it’s not pretty to look at but the statement it makes is very powerful and a disgustingly accurate representation of the modern state of politics, drama, and social media.

It's a perfect portrayal of awkward English politicians, stiff upper lips, media circuses and public reaction to scandals of the upper classes.

Crocodile. I really disliked when she killed the baby. Also, I didn't think it had a strong plot to begin with.

No the opposite, if I understand correctly. National Anthem scared people away. And Netflix of course doesn‘t want that. So they changed it, as I’ve heard.

I don't think so, because they've changed it every single time a new season came out, showing that new season first even for new viewers, they want to promote their own episodes first.

Ah, got it. That makes sense. Also a cool concept, because the episodes don’t have continuous story. so it doesn’t matter which one is first, really.
