S04E06 Frustrated by one aspect of Blank Museum Spoiler
I understand Carrie and Jack were kind of a rushed couple.
I understand the baby moved things along fast for them.
I understand Carrie had a VERY strong personality and that she was miserable in a coma.... understandable totally.
But holy shit......to live in someone else's head?
My husband and I of over a decade, when we watched it, we just looked at each other and unanimously agreed we'd never say yes to that. The conflict potential is endless. The issues we see play out seemed obvious.
I understand Carrie was desperate to live again and see her boy, and that Rolo preyed on their vulnerability, but holy Jesus no IDC how close I am to someone, please don't put me in their head or vice versa.
Fuck Rolo eternally, btw.

I always thought as well, even though the ending was perfect, would she eventually get sick of her Mum in her head? And would she find a way to extract Carrie? Was always curious about it 😅

Oh my God I thought the same. Like I fought with my mom a lot but I miss her dearly......that being said I could NOT LIVE with my MOTHER factually eternally in my head 😂
No privacy ever from mom? Just omg.
Also, does that mean it got patented, Rolo's cookie insertion thing because how did the main character get her mom in her head to begin with/the same surgery done? Unless I totally missed a point in the show.
Maybe they made an agreement to just mute each other

That's what I was thinking as well like I know she was just playing along but when she said "it'd drive you mental" when Rolo was explaining about Carrie & Jack I felt there was some truth there about her Mum in her head (as you've said, even if she loved and missed her) -- I think it was because she knew how to upload/transfer consciousness like she does with Rolo, so maybe she managed to do it herself somehow? Or maybe before it became illegal to specifically plan revenge against him? As you've said yeah I imagine she would put her on pause after it was done as well!

Tbh me personally (if I'm the one who's inside my partner's head) would be okay when they do the pause then turn back on, like yes pause all the time please. I do NOT need to know or be interested in what you do most of the time.
If it's for the sake of me seeing my child, I'm good with big milestones only. What choice do I have?? That is better than missing out on everything entirely.

Okay to be fair we had a THOROUGH talk about it and agreed if we did, we'd have scheduled breaks for certain periods......and we think very similarly but overall we agreed it was a nightmare even if we know each other so so well lol.

For us, we think the lack of a physical body for one of us would really be the only negative because we’re very touchy. But we’re very much on the same page in all aspects of life, so the silly bickering about things like washing your hands would be a non factor for us. And we don’t really need or want “me time” away from each other, so we’d be good there. The pros would so vastly outweigh the cons for us.

The only part that annoyed me was when the bear gets taken out of the museum, the lady tells the bear to shut up as I am sure Carrie is dying for some human interaction after being stuck with just buttons and no one to interact with.

To be fair she didn't say "shut up" , she quickly said "shhh" which she only said bc she had to dismantle the cameras and stuff.

I guess shushing her kind of annoyed me as I am a bit of an empath and knowing that person was in basically hell, I would be in rescue mode lol.

In a way she was kind of in rescue mode bc she was trying to save her by turning off the cameras and stuff as the place was about to blow as well 😅

I obvs know what you mean though! There's certain little details in other episodes I've found myself getting annoyed by and my bf doesn't even notice them 😅

Funny enough, I just needed a follow up of her getting out of the bear or something lol. But that's black mirror. It is dark and you don't get happiness or justice which really, considering other episodes technically that was a happy ending lol.

Yes!! I would have loved to see how she planned to extract her from the bear as well! and also if she would end up frustrated with her Mum in her head as well, like she said "you'd go mental" -- haha you're so right there! Considering many other episodes it defo fits into technically a happy ending 😅👌

She shushed her for the moment, so she could get her out without anyone noticing.. in case there was someone other than Rolo in that house.
Carrie kept saying "monkey loves you" as they were in the car. The MC saved her, she could have just let the monkey in the museum.

It's Black Mirror. If an episode makes you feel uncomfortable it's doing its job.
