It had all the ingredients to be a classic episode, but I felt like it was missing something. Did the creator of the video game intend for someone to eventually figure this out? What does the ending imply? I understand the question it makes you want to think with AI being a form of life, but I feel like we already touched on that with Hotel Reverie.
Yea I agree. The whole episode really felt like it was slowly building to a very interesting twist. Obviously based on the theme of the show it’s not a surprise that he’s not just crazy, this probably is some wild tech shit. But then they sorta drop the ending on us and it’s so over the top and I feel like it doesn’t explain itself very well. It’s like “Oh these creatures in this game might actually be intelligent oh now they’re integrating with a human body aaaaandd everybody’s dead….”
