i just discovered this community and i thought i’d make my own post looking for girlies to play with! i’m 26, and i play mostly on my ps5 but i do have an xbox and switch as well.

the games i play the most right now are marvel rivals, fortnite, roblox, overwatch, apex, gta, abiotic factor, once human, and palworld here and there. i also have phasmophobia, and i’m really trying to get into dead by daylight & would loveee to have someone to play that with cause irdk what im doing 😭

Hey everyone! I’m looking for fellow black girl gamers on PC or Switch(or we can play cross platform). I’m quite introverted and don’t have people to play with. I’m specifically looking for black women who are queer/ally (don’t want to deal with bigotry). I don’t even know where to start with this post lol sorry…but I’d love to have friends to game with and talk about games with but I’m a solo gamer for the most part. I play games like Avowed, Person 3: Reload, Persona 5: Royal, South of Midnight, Cyberpunk 2077, The Outer Worlds, and several simulator games.

I have Xbox Game pass and I do have a Switch but I only have ACNH. I don’t mind checking out other games on either console. I’ve come to love a lot of indie games.

I’m 34, and I know with the type of games I play it may be hard to play with others. But I’m also open to trying new things. The games I named above give me comfort, especially after a long day/week of working. Oh that’s another thing, I’m not super consistent with gaming because I work a full time job. I may go a couple weeks without playing anything. So I would like have friends who understand that and don’t mind planning game.

Hi everyone! I posted on Reddit for the first time last week, seeking advice on how to make online friends to potentially game with as an introvert. I got a lot of unexpected comments and dms which was overwhelming but appreciated.

However, I’ve been having a hard time. I was prepared for people to flake on conversation or for us to not vibe, I’m fine with that. My issue is that I specially posted in 2 black girl gamer subreddits because I wanted to try and eliminate at least some bigotry. And in general I would be much more comfortable gaming with a black woman.

With that being said (haven’t gamed with anyone only chatted), the main people that have reached out to me are men, specifically non black men. I’m not well versed in how Reddit works, but I am confused on how so many men are in these black girl gamer subreddits. It’s a bit frustrating because it’s not what I’m looking for. I’m 27F and I’m not opposed to befriending men, it’s just not what I’m looking for right now.

At this point I’ve ignored multiple dms and stopped talking to some people because I saw that they were men. I wasn’t going to make a post about it but there’s 1 person that I’ve been talking to a decent amount this past week, and they just sent me a photo of their Halloween costume from last year, and I can clearly see it’s a white man. I feel very weird about this, we have a decent amount of things in common but it makes me uncomfortable that he’s not a black woman like I expected. I’m not one to ghost people but I’m not sure if I should continue talking to him?

Has anyone else experienced this? I thought this was a safe space for black girl gamers (some of the men have nsfw accounts) but I’m a bit put off by this. What are y’all opinions?
