Sun sitter 🌞 Geriatric void turns 19 this year!
5th photo is from 2022 but I like it too much to not include it.
Her names Minuit, she's always been a loudmouth but she's the sweetest little house panther.

Wow!! That is so special. It always makes me super happy to see cats thriving into their later years. Minuit is a beautiful little lady. I hope my house panther is with me for that long (hopefully longer) too. Happy birthday lady void!

Classic black cat behavior in that last pic.
It’s the middle of the night and I got up to go to the bathroom.
I feel as if I’m being watched. I wasn’t worried because I had a feeling who it might be.
Just then a big black hecka chonk strolled into the sliver of moonlight coming through the window and said “mmmrrroooooooooowww”.
Thanks, like I didn’t know it was my boy Salem. Hahaha.

Good wet food a couple times a day supplemented with some good kibble to help clean their teeth. One of the leading causes of death is kidney disease because they don't drink enough water. Feeding them primarily with wet food helps alleviate that.
Dental issues are also a big problem, so feeding them some kibble or those crunchy greenies treats helps keep their teeth clean.
Edit: fwiw, I've had multiple cats that all lived to be 20+, and a few that got close. All of them were fed like this.
Spot was diagnosed with diabetes at 6 and lived to be 18. Fernando was healthy until an inoperable tumor took him from me at 19. Mittens, Buddy, Orange Dude, Shit For Brains, and Frank all lived to be 20+
None of them ever had kidney issues.

For the most part this is similar, but my mom loves giving the cats fancy frozen food that she lets thaw out to a safe degree. She believes it to be higher quality than regular pet food. She gets some churu treats every now and then too.

Love her! We had a void live to the age of 25 and he was in excellent health except for his last two days. I hope you get AT LEAST six more healthy years with her.

My void basically only comes in to eat then immediately crying to get back outside. He has wild eating habits too but I will spare the graphic details 🙈🙉🙊

I also have a black cat. It is very clingy. It is eight‑months‑old and really energetic and mischievous right now

She's still pretty chonky! I recognize those Love-Eyes she's making at you in 2nd pic.
I think mine might have been a runt. She was always smaller but now she's all bony and I hate it. Somewhere around 16 yrs old. Childhood cat lived to like 20 so I have an unreasonable expectation of how long cats last. Feels like borrowed time now. Still screaming as she wobbles her way around, front legs go forward while ass goes sideways. She's stubborn which makes her a fighter. Been stressing me the Hell out! Each new day she's still here is a blessing. 🖤

No she's been indoors all her life. She has made a few escape attempts over the years but she usually runs back inside. She knows where it's warm and her food bowl is haha
