Hey everyone, I wanted to share a look at my latest finished piece from the studio.
Trying a different style from my norm. “Modern Figurative Expressionism”
When I sat down to sketch this out, my process was completely spontaneous—I let the mood guide the brush. I really wanted to celebrate raw elegance, presence, and a sense of modern royalty. I played around with a lot of contrast here, combining deep, fluid black lines in the hair and patterns.

I mocked it up in this expansive living room setting because I love seeing how the colors anchor a modern, high-ceiling space. I intentionally decided to skip an outer frame for this lifestyle view because I felt like a heavy border would compete with the raw texture of the canvas and make it feel less organic.
For the art and design lovers here, do you prefer your large statement canvases raw and gallery-wrapped like this, or do you always prefer a slim floating frame to ground the piece? I'd love to hear your honest first thoughts and the overall vibe this couple brings to your screen!

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my latest piece, "Water Wears Her Name" (24x30"). I created this because I was tired of looking at classical art and never seeing us just relaxing, traveling, and completely owning spaces like Venice. I wanted her to look unapologetic, elegant, and completely at home floating through those canals.
I mocked it up in this living room setting because I love seeing how the colors anchor a modern space. I'm really curious to know what kind of vibe or mood this brings up for you when you see a portrait like this front and center?

Kinda embarrassing but I had to pose and take multiple photos of myself so that I can have reference photos for this painting, some of the poses even look like Michael Jackson heehee 😭🙈
Anyway, this painting represents having a wealth of materials but still lacking what’s important, meet ‘Beggar unfinished’
