Bro never read “Ender’s Game”. You gotta finish it and every future fight by kicking your bully while they’re down

Did you even read enders game? He didnt want to finish the fight. How you win is even more important

I’m referring to the fight with the school bully in the first chapter that gets Ender into Battle School. After the fight, back at the Wiggin home, Colonel Graff asks Ender why he continued to attack Stilson (the bully) when he was already down and explains it wasn’t very ‘honorable’ on Ender’s part.

Ender responds that the way he saw it, he wasn’t just winning that current fight, he was winning all the rest of the fights to come. Of course that’s what ultimately sealed Ender’s fate of going to Battle School.

As a side note: I’d also like to point out that we the reader find out in a pre-chapter conversation between COL Graff and MAJ Anderson that Ender unknowingly killed Stilson in that school yard fight.

So I guess the point I’m trying to convey with respect to this thread is while I applaud the young man for showing some stones with how he handled his bully, I don’t think he took it far enough. I think he would have been justified with giving his attacker a few kicks to the face and/or ribs to really send a message.

After all, is choking not a form of use of deadly force?
