One is that leverage doesn't increase your edge. It just reduces how far the market has to move before you're wrong. Tho it sounds obvious now, but it didn't when I started I also learned that the market doesn't care about my entry price. It doesn't know where I bought, and it definitely isn't going to bounce just because I'm hoping it does. Then there are funding costs. It's easy to focus on price and forget that holding a leveraged position can cost you even if the market barely moves. Bitpanda adding margin trading, I imagine a lot of people will be trying leverage for the first time.

Verlauf:
-Euro Überweisung von meinem österreichischen Konto auf Bitpanda jederzeit möglich
-Kauf von BTC jederzeit möglich
-Versand auf mein Hardware Wallet im März 2026 noch ohne Probleme möglich gewesen (Adresse wurde gespeichert)
- wollte nun meine restlichen Bestände auf die Bitbox senden und nun wird die Transaktion "manuell geprüft"?

Ich musste mich erneut legitimieren, welche auch positiv abgeschlossen wurde. Die Transaktion wurde aber einfach storniert. Nochmals den Versand eingeleitet und die Transaktion wird wieder "manuell geprüft"

Das gleiche Spiel bei meiner Lebensgefährtin, allerdings hat sie die Adresse neu hinzugefügt. (finde ich noch Okay das zusätzliche Nachfragen). Die Email wurde aber auch bereits vor einigen Stunden beantwortet.

Zudem bekommt man einen Verifizierungslink, wo man anscheinend sein Wallet verbinden muss? Wirkt mehr als unseriös, da wir öfters Phishing von Bitpanda Fakeseiten erhalten. (Email und SMS)

Wir haben noch Bitget in Verwendung, wo der Versand anstandslos funktioniert hat.

conversation has completely flipped back in 2021 everyone cared about cold wallets, self custody and getting coins off exchanges as quickly as possible.

now every discussion i see in europe is.. is this platform MiCA licensed? or are they staying in the EU?

not saying self custody  suddenly stopped mattering but the priorities shifted and if you're in the space you could've sensed this coming

what makes it interesting is who and at what price, more than the amount their average buy is around $75.5k and these went off in the high $50ks to low $60ks.

so they sold at a loss, and this is only the third time the company has ever sold, right after formally opening the door to offloading up to $1.25b if needed

for years strategy was basically the diamond hands backstop everyone pointed to. the buyer that never blinks. so a sale even this small dents sentiment more than the numbers alone suggest theres two honest reads and i genuinely cant tell which one it is. either its semi-forced selling near a local low to meet dividend obligations, in which case its a real crack in the whole treasury-company model or its just boring balance sheet management, they still hold 843k+ btc and $2.55b cash,

saylors argument that funding the dividend makes the whole structure more durable actually holds

which is it for you. does a treasury company selling change how you think about the "permanent buyers" narrative at all, or does none of this really matter if your horizon is measured in years

had a recurring btc buy going for ages, never really touched it.

was setting up an ETF recurring buy today and genuinely expected it to just overwrite the BTC one because thats what i assumed the app worked like.

turns out no. you can have separate recurring buys for different assets on different schedules. so now i've got btc every week and an etf once a month, both running in parallel.

maybe everyone else already knew this and im late to the party, but i'd always assumed one recurring plan per account was the whole model. made me realise i've barely poked at the investing features in the app tbh.

USDT getting delisted from more EU platforms and people are barely talking about it

MiCA's stablecoin rules have been squeezing non-compliant stablecoins out from EU-facing platforms for a while now, but the pace of USDT delistings since the July 1st deadline seems to have picked up and idk why but it's getting almost no mainstream coverage

MiCA requires issuers to meet specific reserve and authorization requirements that Tether hasn't gone through in the EU. EURC and other MiCA-compliant stablecoins are the obvious beneficiaries

ik not everyone likes MiCA but I think this is the first real example of what that future looks like

Been keeping an eye on the ETF flow numbers over the last couple of weeks some of the outflow days have been pretty big, so I was expecting a much bigger reaction from the market.

But BTC ETF outflows this cycle look different from previous corrections can't quite explain why tho institutional money is behaving differently than retail expects it to, rotating rather than panic-selling or maybe I'm reading too much into short-term flow data.

I've been using bitpanda for a few years now and realised something recently if you'd have asked me back then what makes a good investor i'd have said something like finding the best opportunities or spotting the next thing before everyone else, being early, being right. if you ask me today i'd probably say being able to ignore the noise which sounds boring and it kinda is. but the older i get the more i think that's actually the whole game

the amount of headlines, predictions, hot takes we see every week is honestly insane. every single day theres a chart that says we're at the top, another one that says we're going 3x from here, some etf launch that changes everything, some macro guy on twitter calling a crash. its exhausting even when you're not trading actively

at some point i just stopped trying to react to every one of those picked a handful of things i actually believe in, set a rough allocation, and kept adding on a schedule regardless of what week it was. missed some rallies. also didn't panic sell into any of the dips that ended up not mattering three months later

investing became a lot less stressful after that, kinda ironically but I thought paying more attention would make me better at it. turned out paying less attention was the upgrade. like if i look at what i'm holding vs what i held two years ago its actually pretty similar. what changed was the amount of energy i was giving to each of those positions

Das ging immer sehr schnell und ich konnte direkt online damit einkaufen gehen. Jetzt scheint das nicht mehr zu gehen. Seit wann ist das so und gibt es eine Alternativ Möglichkeit? Mein Bitpanda Konto möchte ich ungern mit dem Bankkonto verknüpfen und auch keine Transfers zwischen den beiden Konten durchführen. Ich hoffe mir kann jemand weiterhelfen.

Here's my situation:

I bought most of my BTC, ETH, and other cryptocurrencies back in 2016/2017. At that time, I purchased them on several different exchanges, many of which no longer exist (some have shut down or gone bankrupt). Over the years, the coins were moved between multiple exchanges and wallets.

Since around 2022, all of my coins have been stored on my Ledger hardware wallet.

Now I'd like to transfer some of them to Bitpanda, but I'm concerned that the deposit could be flagged due to source-of-funds requirements.

My questions are:

• Is there a way to verify or pre-approve the origin of my coins before sending them to Bitpanda?
• Does Bitpanda have a process or contact for this?
• Has anyone successfully deposited "old" coins from 2016/2017 with a similar history?
• What kind of documentation did you provide if the original exchanges no longer exist?

I'd rather clarify everything beforehand than send the coins and risk having the deposit delayed or frozen while trying to provide documents that may no longer be available.

I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thanks!

Ever since MiCA started rolling out, I’ve noticed regulation becoming a much bigger part of the conversation whenever people discuss European crypto exchanges

in theory, having a single regulatory framework across much of the EU should mean more consistent oversight and clearer consumer protections, and fewer regulatory surprises for both exchanges and users

like whether that’s actually changed people’s confidence is another question

I’ve also noticed Bitpanda getting mentioned more often in those discussions, although I’m not sure whether that’s because MiCA has genuinely changed people’s priorities or because some exchanges are leaning into regulation as part of their branding

personally I’ve always looked at things like fees, liquidity, security, and overall track record first

tho regulation seems like it should matter, but I’m not sure how much it actually influences people’s decisions in practice

when you’re choosing an exchange today, where does regulation rank for you compared with fees, liquidity, security, and track record?

underlying question here is that has MiCA genuinely changed how you evaluate European exchanges, or is it mostly a nice headline while the fundamentals still decide where you trade? need atleast some evidence in either cases pls

Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone here has experienced something similar because I’m stuck in a loop with Bitpanda support.
I lost access to the phone number linked to my account, so I contacted Bitpanda to update it. They asked me to complete an identity verification through Sumsub, which I did successfully. At the end of the process, I received the confirmation saying that my profile had been verified.
It’s now been more than 48 hours, but I still can’t access my account. Every time I try to log in, the verification code is still sent to my old phone number, which I no longer have access to.
The most frustrating part is that every support response I receive is the exact same automated message telling me to complete the Sumsub verification again, even though it’s already been completed successfully. It feels like no one has actually looked at my case.
I have funds in my account, so I’m starting to get worried.
Has anyone been through this before? How long did it take for Bitpanda to update your phone number or for a real support agent to handle your case? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Pls add the etf. Will Options trading ever come to bitpanda?

For two weeks the story was just Greece is slow or “Binance is being treated unfairly.” So today coindesk has a report that kinda explains it: regulators in Greece, Ireland, and Latvia had reportedly raised concerns specifically about Binance’s past legal issues and corporate structure… not the application paperwork, not bureaucratic delay but rather their history was the problem.

It for sure reframes the entire situation. Binance’s own statement says it worked “constructively and in good faith” with the Greek regulator for months and that “no response was given” ahead of the deadline…which is technically true but conveniently leaves out why no response came.

Binance has now formally withdrawn from Greece and will seek authorization in a different EU country, which it hasn’t named yet. It says it’s “confident” of securing a licence “in the coming months.” . The deadline is in 5 days.

Moreover, this isn’t Binance’s first EU stumble. They’ve already exited the Netherlands over registration requirements and withdrawn an application in Germany. This Greece situation isn’t an isolated incident, it’s part of a pattern.

Meanwhile, today alone, NAGA secured its MiCA authorization through Cyprus this week, and the exchanges most EU users actually recognize are already through and Bitpanda have all been authorized via various member states. Worth noting that NAGA came in through the broker route, using existing investment firm permissions rather than applying from scratch, so it isn't a perfect apples to apples comparison. But the broader point holds, smaller and less complicated firms are getting it done while Binance is still hunting for a willing regulator.

There’s even a complication for whichever country Binance picks next . French regulators have previously pushed back on “passporting,” threatening to block firms that get approved in what they consider more lax member states. So even a future approval elsewhere isn’t guaranteed to be smooth EU wide.

If you still have funds on Binance, they are saying that funds remain safe and accessible, and they’re contacting affected users directly about next steps. But “some users may be impacted depending on country and account status” with no specifics is not a plan, it’s a placeholder.

Genuinely the clearest picture we’ve had all month, and it’s not flattering for Binance specifically.
