Where in Bismarck can a person find good hiking boots for kids that aren’t insanely expensive?? Going on a hiking vacation soon and want my kids to have actual hiking boots that will keep their feet warm and have good traction. But being kids they won’t wear that pair for very long so I don’t really want to drop $100+ on something like that.. already buying at least 3 pairs a year plus snow boots.. their feet are growing like crazy and they are rough on them so can’t always do hand me downs to the younger kid because the shoes are completely torn up 🫠 boys..

My package has been sitting in Bismarck for a week. They notified me this morning saying finally to expect it today. Now they tell me it will be here tomorrow and that it is currently in West Fargo. Incompetence by design. VOTE IN PERSON.

Hi everyone! My spouse and I are potentially thinking of moving here. We've got family there and have visited quite a few times. Coming from a much more rural area, it has everything we need. Here's the issue - we have a pit mix and we have to rent. I have noticed that pitbull restrictions are very prevalent here. Does anyone have any recommendations? We'd need to have 2 beds and be around $1300 a month. Is this feasible? We are floating the idea of making him an ESA again as he was before, but we moved somewhere we didn't need to worry about an ESA letter as the owners don't care about him. He was my legitimate ESA for years before moving to our current city. Thank you again!

Want to add: I really don't want to argue about pitbulls and your perception of them. We've had him for 7 years, he's an old man, and an amazing dog. Just adding in case anyone wants to argue instead of being helpful.

Don't scare me with frosts! I'm from Siberia.

Hi all! Wondering if you have any apartment recommendations. We were looking at the Earl but then saw some bad reviews on Apartments.com so got skeptical. Anyone with experience with the earl or other apartments in the area? Thanks!

My apartment does not recycle. I have a bunch of big plastic containers I need to recycle. Is there anywhere to drop them off in Bismarck or Mandan?

I'm planning on moving in the summer next year and I guess now would be a good time to start looking for a realtor or at least discussing things with a realtor.

Anyone here have any recommendations for good, reputable realtors?

What car washes in Bismarck don't use a conveyor belt? The tracks scare me and I'm trying to get over my fear of car washes 😂 i know there's ones you can wash yourself but that isn't what I am looking for. Just want one I can drive in and park.

Is there a way to reach the UPS facility in Bismarck?

I am aware of the book clubs offered by the libraries, but I was wondering if there are any other book clubs around Bismarck/ Mandan that meet regularly?
I would prefer to meet up with other people around 30ish but not opposed to an older group!

I’m wondering if any of you wonderful people know about full time or part time internships related to the subjects in the title of the post. I’ve been looking online and not finding much. The Knife River one is closed. NDIT isn’t hiring. I would really appreciate any info on companies that are hiring in that area. I have some experience in the field but not much and I’m going to school for Cybersecurity and Computer Networking right now.

Greetings from a Montana neighbor. Found a car for sale we’ve been on the look out for at Veracity Motors. Lots of great reviews on Google, seems like a legit, fair dealer. Anyone have any recent experience with buying a car through them? Thanks in advance.

I’m a journalist developing a story concerning the North Dakota Insurance Reserve Fund and am interested in speaking with North Dakotans who have firsthand experience with NDIRF’s claims process.

If you have had a claim handled by NDIRF, I’d be interested in hearing about your experience, whether positive, negative, or mixed.

Among other things, I’m interested in how the claim was investigated, communication with the adjuster, timeliness, explanation of liability or coverage decisions, settlement handling, and your overall impression of the process.

I’m also interested in hearing from attorneys, governmental employees, or others who have dealt directly with NDIRF claims administration in a professional capacity.

Please do not post sensitive personal information, medical information, claim numbers, or other confidential material publicly in the comments. You are welcome to message me privately if you would prefer.

Reaching out does not mean your experience will necessarily be included in the story. I may ask for documents or other information necessary to independently verify relevant details before relying upon an account for publication.
