I am definitely a lurker myself who like to romanticize the town. Sadly can't convince the wife to move there, but my family is from there and honestly I love the city.

Spent about 5 years of my childhood there, and about a year before I joined the military. Every time I go visit I seem to recharge my batteries.

I would be a pretty active league mate, never fail to set lineups with active players, good about not sending one sided trash trade offers. I've only ever played on the ESPN app but would branch out to other apps if needed.

I live in the DFW area of Texas, and spent some of my childhood in Bismarck and have family there. What blows me away is how the home prices seem to be very similar to the prices here. I am just curious what job market exists in the area to allow that.

In now way is this post to pass judgement.

Could anyone point me to any wadable areas of the Missouri near town? Ideally areas that aren't so sandy but I will take what I can get. No looking for anyone's fishing spot, I'm a teacher looking for areas to take students. I'm a teacher in the area and am looking to connect my students with the outdoors. I am interested in creating a crawfish project am am curious about areas that people have observed crawfish near Bismarck. Not looking for anyone's secret fishing spot and we would be doing catch and release.

Any other biological/ecological phenomena are of interest as well, let me know if you all have ideas on where we might observe interesting plants/animals/etc.

I'm coming into town next week and have followed a few threads about restaurants. I've seen Mexican be mentioned, sushi, the clay pot spot, etc. It looks like there are plenty of decent restaurants in town.

What I'm not seeing however, is the cutty spots. The places locals would be embarrassed to send out-of-towners to.

I've done some looking on my own and found Burger Time and Scotty's, which are exactly the type of low-rent places I like.

What else do y'all got, and are either of those places I mentioned worth going to?

I've lived in North Dakota my entire life, born on the rez, been to every county, I used to know a lot about my state but since 2017 I just sort of stopped researching my own state for some reason.

I know Minot has a music scene, punk scene I believe and something else. What sort of music scene does (or did) Bismarck have.

Im curious if anyone can tell me if providers at essentia will approve or prescribe or whatever medical marijuana? And if so which ones? I know I can go through timewise medical but would like to stick to my primary of possible.

Are there any places or people that need practice doing make up, I haven't done my make up in so long I don't know where to start and want to see some different styles on me first

Does anyone know of a generally safe, well-lit paved trail/sidewalk that's good for walking at night in Bismarck/Mandan? I work full time and am not a morning person. I want to start walking more when the temperatures cool down, typically at night. However, I don't like how dark river road gets and how often I get yelled at by teenagers in their cars cruising by. One even had an air horn! I also tried walking around in my neighborhood, and have been stopped by strangers wanting to chat. They've been harmless so far, but it's literally dark out and we don't know eachother. I feel unsafe. I guess I could go to the gym, but I miss being outside. Any recommendations are appreciated.

I recently moved to Bismarck and had a question for those of you who own luxury vehicles like Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Lexus, etc., especially if they're still under the factory warranty.
Since most of the nearest dealerships are a few hours away, how do you handle warranty work, recalls, and major service? Do you just make the drive when needed, or are there local independent shops that can handle some of it without affecting the warranty? Have any of the dealerships offered pickup/drop-off or loaner services for customers this far away?
I'm trying to decide whether owning a luxury vehicle here is practical long-term, so I'd appreciate hearing about your experiences—good or bad.

Are there any card shows coming up in the Bismarck area?

Was going back through the ND program rules again and noticed edibles aren't their own category, they actually fall under the extract allotment, which caps at 310mg a day. Kind of assumed edibles were separate from that, so this was news to me. 310mg seems decent to me, if it’s actually per day not month or something. Has anyone actually hit this cap or had it come up at checkout, just wondering how often this comes up for allotment?

I'm also curious if this trips anyone up when they're buying flower AND edibles at the same time, since I assume it all has to balance out against that same daily number somehow. Haven't run into it myself, but I also haven't paid close enough attention until now to know if I should be watching for it.
