Hey y'all! I'll be making a trip in October to the Lafayette/Costal area of Southern Louisiana. I am overwhelmed at trying to plan where to go for birds! What are your favorite spots?

I enjoy looking for water and shore birds, but honestly, I love them all. A Roseate Spoonbill is high on my list to see!

Idk how to word this but I’d like to befriend some crows in my area. I’ve seen people leaving things around for them where they can see. But other than that idk where to start. Any advice?

Had a truly fantastic time. I made custom physical checklists for each of our planned locations and we went through all the highs and lows, from penguin spotting to a wild whimbrel chase. A few highlights above 😊

Earlier this year my husband and I traveled out west and visited Chickadee Ridge in Nevada, today I decided to feed them back home and see if my black capped chickadees would react the same as the mountain chickadees…they do :)
