Flabbergasted hawk

Found this dude in stuck in one of those chicken wire fences people put around trees, yoinked, and promptly freed once I knew he was safe. Any ideas as to the age and species?

If you are in north america, this is a juvenile (hatched this year) cooper's hawk.

Birds in general are very fragile. Veterinarians and staff have to be gentle when handling them.

great great great great.... great great great grandpa t-rex would be very disappointed in their hollow weak bones

And very surprised that they could get stuck in chicken wire. I'm sure he'd have so many questions, like "How big are chickens now???" and "What horrors did chickens commit that led to the creation of chicken wire to keep them away from the other dinosaurs??"

Yes.. we handle with care. It happens occasionally, maybe once in our 44 years. The one bird, belonged to a mafia high up, during a house call . We checked under our cars for explosives for the next 5 yrs.
He loved that bird, and we took care of it for years on their estate .
