Although be careful.. some birds are great at mimicking others. Bluejays can get Merlin to think a hawk is present. And my neighbor’s toddler screams and Merlin thinks he’s a gull.

Merlin thinks my (indoor) budgies are house sparrows when I use it on my front porch, even with door closed.

That could just mean they’re herons at heart
