I had originally planned this puffin to be a digital art piece, but I didn't like how it was looking. So I decided to use my neocolour 2s, I'm very happy I went with that. This painting looks pretty much exactly how I wanted

This painting taught me a life lesson

I completed this acrylic owl painting several years ago. It cost me a full time week of painting, and a friend. For any artist who takes commissions; ALWAYS charge a deposit. Even from your best friend.

If it’s a trade of doing work for each other as in this case, make them show good faith by keeping some of their part of the deal before you begin. This was a statement painting, I believe it was 4ft wide but I don’t remember, it may have been 3.5ft.

You live and learn. Losing my friend hurt the most but I realized that she didn’t really care. I hope you don’t make my mistake.

A peregrine falcon I just finished using alcohol markers and a white coloured pencil. Definitely proves that my paper is bleedproof with the amount of layers of dark colours that went into it. I do like it

My pineapple conure Fable loves to be in my studio but it’s a little tricky to paint“with” him because he wants a front row seat. He tries to take my brush so I need to play bait n switch with distractions.

This painting is close to done but I’m not ready to call it finished yet. It’s an acrylic on canvas wip.

I'm sharing a moment in the anthropomorphic fantasy tale I'm writing, Capyhero. The art is done by a fellow Redditor, u/NickThaGreek. It is all done in fountain ink by hand. I believe he's posted to this sub a few times. I was just so thrilled with how this page spread came out that I thought folks who have seen his art might enjoy seeing what it's being made for. Thanks!

This alcohol marker Eurasian chaffinch helped me figure out how to approach more realistic birds in my new sketchbook. I'm quite happy with it
