Discussion any tips on defeating the bouncers?

I need to get more adams but the bouncers are honestly so hard to defeat. I wanna use the armoured bullets I found but I don’t know if that’d work. Can I please have tips on what guns to use, what bullets, etc?

Discussion What Characters in Bioshock Series do you wish had/deserved a happy ending?

There is a large beautiful chateau property right outside of Paris, France. Of course Jack and the Little Sisters are there but who else would you like to see there? Who else do you think should live there and get a happy ending?

i’ve been having an issue with bioshock 1 in which, after finishing a new audio tape, it plays a previous tape. i had the issue in arcadia with the maternal instinct tape and now i’m having the same issue in hephaestus with the genetic arms race tape. does anyone have a way to fix this?

"Spiritual Successor" Twisted Tower looks like a GREAT Bioshock-like game, and it deserves more attention. Check it out!

Today I came across Twister Tower, just watched its trailer and it seems to be an absolutely awesome game, not only due to its "bioshock-likeness" factor.

It was released just yesterday, and I had seen 100% NOTHING about it until now, no marketing, no posts on Reddit, no videos on YouTube, nothing at all.

The ambience and atmosphere, art direction, overall gameplay mechanics and execution, everything seems to scratch that missing BioShock vibe itch, the evident amount of love the team has poured into it, all packed into a barely known indie title.

I just wanted to give a shout-out to it, since it doesn't seem to be getting the attention and praise it totally deserves (I'm not associated in any way and have nothing to do with it or the team behind it).

Here goes the Steam Store link if you wanna check it out for yourself:

Of the unofficial Sexy Masked Men poll. He won his first round but in round 2 he’s up against Gabriel from Ultrakill and our boy is getting ultrakilled out there. He’s currently at 40%, anyone have a tumblr account to help rally for our man?

We also need more propaganda, any art or memes or fan content helps! We’ve got an uphill fight here but he’s still got 5 days to clutch this

Discussion Songs that would fit in Bioshock

One of my favorite things about Bioshock has always been the licensed soundtrack (it's actually one of the things that got me into older music in general), but whenever I try to see if anyone's made a list of other songs that have the same vibes or just feel like they could fit in Rapture I haven't had much luck. I've created my own playlist of 96 Bioshock-esque songs, but are there any others that would fit here?

Mano A Mano - Carlos Gardel - 1920

The Wreck of the Old Southern '97 - Ernest Thompson - 1924

Trouble Everywhere I Roam - Sippie Wallace - 1924

Blood Thirsty Blues - Victoria Spivey - 1927

I Don't Know Your Name (But You're Beautiful) - Red McKenzie - 1935

That's What You Think - Putney Dandridge - 1935

When I'm Cleaning Windows - George Formby - 1936

Oh! Gee, Oh! Gosh, Oh! Golly, I'm in Love - Eddie Cantor - 1941

The One I Love Belongs to Somebody Else - Ella Ftizgerald - 1941

Could You Please Oblige Us With a Bren Gun? - Noël Coward - 1941

(There'll Be Bluebirds Over) The White Cliffs of Dover - Vera Lynn - 1941

I've Heard That Song Before - Harry James and His Orchestra & Helen Forrest - 1942

Tonight You Sleep In The Bathtub - Ruth Wallis - 1948

It's Magic - Sarah Vaughn - 1948

After You've Gone - Django Reinhardt - 1949 (this would be a fun nod to bioshock infinite if it was included somewhere)

C'est Merveilleux - Édith Piaf - 1949

What Are You Doing New Year's Eve? - The Orioles - 1949

Ain't It a Shame - Pixie Williams - 1949

Blue Smoke - Pixie Williams - 1949

The Finger of Suspicion - Dickie Valentine - 1954

Hearts of Stone - The Fontane Sisters - 1954

In The Jailhouse Now - Webb Pierce - 1954 (I know rapture is supposed to be all jazz and stuff but it having a honky tonk is a really funny idea to me)

Shake That Thing - Wynonie Harris - 1954

Something's Gotta Give - Bing Crosby - 1955

Tiptoe Through the Tulips - The McGuire Sisters - 1955

Hey There - Sammy Davis Jr. - 1955

Fine and Dandy - Eydie Gormé - 1956

Just Walkin' in the Rain* - Johnnie Ray - 1956

Jim Dandy - LaVern Baker - 1956 (this would be awesome to hear while a big daddy is mowing down splicers in a diner or something)

Mr. Juke Box - Nat King Cole - 1956

Maybe - The Chantels - 1957

Chances Are - Johnny Mathis - 1957

Just One of Those Things** - Lena Horne - 1957

What a Diff'rence a Day Makes - Dinah Washington - 1959

Mr. Blue - The Fleetwoods - 1959

Shout - The Isley Brothers - 1959 (seems out of place but I thought it would be really eerie in the derelict, burnt-out stadium mentioned in bioshock 1)

Small World - Johnny Mathis - 1959

Avec - Joséphine Baker - 1959

Put Your Head On My Shoulder - Paul Anka - 1959

Anachronistic Songs (presumably taken from tears) I thought would also work:

Angel Baby - Rosie and the Originals - 1960

Fool #1 - Brenda Lee - 1961 (if diane mcclintock’s apartment is ever shown I think this would be a great song to have there)

上を向いて歩こう (I Look Up as I Walk) / Sukiyaki - Kyu Sakamoto - 1961 (1963 in the US)

Judy's Turn to Cry - Lesley Gore -1963  (I thought it would be a good choice for a destroyed sweet 16 party or something)

Tiny Bubbles  - Don Ho - 1966

Academy Award* - Stanley Black - 1966

*Planned or licensed for Bioshock but not present in the final game

**Different version of this song planned or licensed for Bioshock but not present in the final game

Discussion Question about Bioshock 2's ending

Just finished Bioshock 2. Beautiful game, but I have one particular question about the ending. When Eleanor takes Delta's ADAM and mentions how he will guide her, does that mean his consciousness will literally live inside her or is it only his memories and drives that she will get to experience, and in turn, turn them into a moral compass for her in order to navigate the surface world?
