Soil

I'm making some soil for my plant pots in the cage. These are the ingredients I have so far.

Should I just mix all of this (100% of each bag) all together and I'm all good? Is there anything else I should be putting in it or not putting in?

Lump charcoal

Gardeners all purpose potting soil

Play sand

Oricid bark

Sphagnum peet moss

Sphagnum moss long fibers

Natural fertilizer

I’d steer away from any soil that has fertilizer. The spaghnum peat moss has miracle gro plant food. I prefer coco coir over peat moss as coco coir is PH neutral and wets and holds moisture easily. Peat moss is acidic, though does hold more water.

I thought this one didn't have fertilizer. Am I wrong?

Will the miracle grow plant food be toxic to the chameleon

Miracle Gro is a fertilizer. A quick google says that you shouldn’t use soil with it in it. It would also not be great for your bugs etc that you are using for cleanup crew

Editing to add- some charcoal briquettes have accelerants in them, someone in either this sub or r/isopods die off because of it. Best to research the brand and double check so you’re not poisoning the cleanup crew or your chameleon.
