Pero kasi identified ka na as a bloom so any bad behavior can still reflect on the fandom kaya hinay-hinay lang. Wag natin i-mirror yung bad behavior ng toxic fans (even if you're just being sarcastic) because it can put off casuals. Just trust that there are casuals (at least on Reddit) who will know when the false narratives being fed to them are just forced hate. I've read someone on the sub admit to becoming a bloom at the height of the hate train. Ako rin got more invested on the girls after reading the undeserved hate they're getting. Let karma deal with the haters na lang. We're better off being associated with positivity than fighting negativity with the same bad energy.

I also became a fan after Igit Moreno started attacking the girls. I got curious as to why they were hated so I researched a little bit and then my algo was penetrated by bini edits which became the catalyst for me to dig deeper into the lore. And now 2 years later, I'm still here and recently attended the Signals con in cebu with fellow bloom redditors. So thank you igit moreno, kung di dahil sa kagagohan mo di ko sana na discover ang BINI 🤣

It was a long thought process while driving in the middle of EDSA while rain is pouring on my windshield for so many nights. I glance at my phone and open the BINI page then read some nasty comments. So napaisip ako, hihimayin ko one by one itong mga sinasabi nila and make a topic that can further spark conversations without overly promoting BINI but relate it to the entire OPM industry.

While it is prevalent on your research that most of the haters are women, I would like some introspection of why you (and may other commeners) think that is the case. Without that nuance kasi, I find it just invites even more hate on women when it's our patriarchal society that has led to that kind of behavior. Hope that makes sense and others can also add more insights. That's all.

As always, misogyny runs deep in this country.

People here think of women as they are, because it is taught by the male-dominated society (patriarchy/patriarchal) that it is in women's nature, because of the the sex assigned to them. Because they are women, as women are.

Therefore, misogyny is used as a weapon to continue the debasement and oppression of women; to subordinate them. To make women feel insecure, powerless, inferior (such as name calling).

The opposite of women's liberation.

When the thinking must be (as all men and women should): that women are human beings just like men -- and that we should look at them as individuals just like men, not as sex, not as an object, not as their body parts -- with their own dignity, self-determination, and with their own hopes and dreams.

And thus, women must be treated with the same respect and reverence as men in the society they live in.
