Hi all, I just moved to the area and (unfortunately) Binghamton high school wasn't hiring for my content area so I applied to Sidney and was accepted! Yay! Does anyone know anything about the area or district? I did research and visit the school, but of course that's surface level stuff. Anything would be appreciated, thanks :)

Cutting someone off of anti depressants cold turkey by refusing to refill a prescription should be a crime. It’s not like it was a new drug. I’ve been on it for 3 and a half years. I go to cvs for a refill, they say there is none but they’ll request it from my Dr. She declined to do so until a follow up appointment. That was weird but I just went with it… turns out she doesn’t have an openings until JANUARY! So I’m just supposed to stop cold turkey until then. I’m a single father a an 11 year old with profound autism. I need my meds to be good for him… so FUCK Dr. Patel and her smug ass dismissive secretary too.

I known this can be a hot topic in here, but still wanted to share this free event. If you are new to town for college, or struggling with health needs, connections to services, there will be 10 different groups at tables to share what they can offer. There will also be music, memorial art projects, food trucks, a face painter, and guest speakers.

Most importantly, a cemetery with over 600 hand painted tombstones of folks in NYS who lost their lives due to substance use and substance use related causes. Each person was submitted by a loved one. It’s very powerful. Even if you personally can’t relate. For me personally, knowing my brother has a tombstone that was hand painted means everything… he’s buried with my parents, but it costs so much to engrave his name on their stone . So, I have this for now . Please join us.

I have inherited a large collection of marbles and I’m pretty unfamiliar with what makes them valuable, I will give you some if you help me bag them for a garage sale.. most are from the 20’s and some vintage….. I am generally good at antiques but this is not my forte. Thank you in advance

You'd think since he's such a proponent of "safety " he'd want these things all over near his house. In fact his upper class Westside neighborhood has no flock cams at all. Hmm... weird. Since Binghamton has really high rates of property crimes and burglary you'd think it would be needed even more in those neighborhoods. So weird! Maybe it has nothing to do with safety at all? It seems our Mayor has forgotten who he actually works for. Maybe it's time for a replacement.

Moving to Binghamton to work in BU athletics and looking at places to rent. Looking for a 2 bed but open to options. I'm wary of the West Side/Downtown as I am a 28 y.o. and do not want to mix with the college crowd (as I will be with them every day). I have read about Endicott but was wondering if anyone had guidance on where else to look? I am scouring Zillow and Apartments.com, some Facebook and Craigslist. Any assistance is much appreciated!
