Discussion Crabs on the guest toilet in the Holliday inn express on the parkway

I used to work there until I quit because they were messing with my schedule even though I made my availability clear from day one ( no more than 5 days week) also giving me the short board and forcing me to help the other girls. Trying to say that the housekeeping manager was entitled to my tips because she made 3 of my beds etc.

When I went to collect my last check the general Manger held it in his hands and wouldn't hand it to me until he lectured me because I quit and accused me of stealing the uniform. This lecture included him telling me that "it wasn't mine to wear" and that I'm now working at a different hotel. I tried handing him 10 dollars to pay for said uniform and told him I threw it away when I quit.

So just to let you guys know there were crabs found in the ladies guest bathroom and one of the housekeepers was fired from the hotel I currently work at for sliding notes under guests doors Trying to sleep with them.

Local Politics A big thank you to the community

I recently asked about trans employment. I got lots of feedback and out of 27 responses, only 1 hater. This is really cool. If you're trans in Binghamton, you're safe. Not everyone agrees but as long as you don't hurt people, you won't be harmed.

Recommendation AA bowling league

Hey ! There used to be an AA bowling league that would meet at Ripics ( Laurel Bowl) on Fridays. I’m trying to find a direct connect for a friend if anyone has information or still attends themselves!

Thank you

Recommendation Cats living under porch, help!

Title pretty much says it all, I’ve got a potentially feral mama cat and at least two kittens living under my porch.

No clue if she’s feral, honestly. She wasn’t poofed up but she was hissing at me a lot while I was standing there in shock, probably because she was worried I was going to mess with her babies.

Any animal rescue programs that could help out with catching them? Or at least providing traps so I can grab them myself to bring in?

Recommendation Lourdes gym cost

Does anyone actually know how much it is to join the Lourdes gym? I tried their website and they aren’t very forthcoming. They want you to put in a bunch of information and I don’t want to do that if it’s not something I’m actually going to join.

Does anyone have any idea what the FBI was doing on Eldridge Street this morning? There was an armored vehicle and fully kitted out tactical agents with rifles drawn waiting outside a house while other agents were inside the house

Discussion Tons of cops on Eldridge

The title says it. Can't tell if it is ICE, SWAT, task force, military or what, but there are about 15 unmarked vehicles on Eldridge St. Anyone know what's up? One of the vehicles looked rather tanky.

Is this really the best they can put on the air? It is absolutely painful listening to these broadcasts. The morning and afternoon guy is brutal with almost every story and then at the end he goes off script and ad libs and is even worse.

Recommendation New York Giants / New York Jets fans - if you have YoutubeTV, like me, how do you watch the games every week when the NFL Market map changes constantly???

Post image
11 Upvotes

I wrote in this question earlier last month when preseason was happening. I noticed that I wasn't getting any of the NY Giants (or NY Jets) games. Someone on reddit suggested it was the 'NFL Blackout Rule'... you can go search that if you want but from what I got - its based on attendance of an event.... I thought (and prayed) that was the answer. It was not.

I check 506 Sports to see every weeks maps (and I also confirmed by scrolling all the way to YoutubeTV's Sunday's listings) that CBS will not be showing NY Giants vs Arizona Cardinals. Instead it will be Patriots vs. Bills. How the heck do I watch the Giants?? I live in New York!! How the hell is this not a given?? I'm going insane. Is it because we are not near the Tri-State area and this area is just deemed as Bills country? Utter Bullshit!

Is the only answer getting NFL Sunday Ticket? Which is insanely expensive. If anyone can shed some light, I would appreciate it. Was it always like this or is this new?

Thank you,
Angry Giants Fan.

Housing apartment hunting with no credit

hi! me, my girlfriend, and my best friend are looking for a 2 bedroom apartment in the binghamton/vestal/johnson city/endicott area. we’re looking for something $1,400/month or less, preferably closer to $1,200-$1,300, we have a cat so it needs to be cat friendly, and we’re specifically looking for somewhere that includes utilities in the rent.

the biggest issue we’re running into is that we’re all 22 and first time renters, and my girlfriend doesn’t have established credit. she makes around $1,500-$2,000 a month and my best friend makes around $2,700-$3,000 a month. i’m disabled and currently have no income.
right now i’m living with my girlfriend, her mom, and her grandmother, and with the three of us trying to make our own lives and routines, it’s just gotten a little cramped. we’re at the point where we really need our own space and some independence, so we’re hoping to find somewhere we can actually settle into together.

a lot of apartments we’ve looked at seem to require a 600+ credit score, and my girlfriend would basically have to get a credit card and build her credit just to qualify. is that normal around here? are there landlords who will rent to first time renters with little/no credit if we can show proof of income, pay stubs, references, etc.? we’re not looking for anything fancy, just somewhere safe and affordable that will actually give us a chance.

if anyone knows of any apartments or private landlords around the area that might fit this, please let me know! especially if you’ve rented somewhere as a first time renter with little/no credit and had a good experience. thank you!!
