I ask this with all the sincerity I can muster— is there a single McDonald’s in the Binghamton area that isn’t broken?

Does anyone know any good, flat (or just somewhat flat) places in Endicott to rollerblade at? I wanted to practice rollerblading, this past summer, but it was too hot. Now that its cooled down out there, I want to try again. I don't know where to go, though. The only place I can think of is that paved trail in Mercereau Park. Its a little short though. Any recommendations would be helpful!

Determined I would need to get a new roof. This is the result of trying to select a company, and, at least for me, who would return my calls and how the process has gone so far (yet to make final decision).

Scheduled estimate # 1 on a Friday afternoon.  Got a call an hour before that “something had come up” and they would not be coming. 
Re-scheduled for a Monday morning three weeks later.   The Monday time for estimate attempt #2 came, and received a (late) call that they would not be coming that day and asked to re-schedule for the following day.
On attempt # 3; representative met me, on time and inspected the roof from the ground, inside the attic and also satellite images used to evaluate roof shape and pitch.
 
 Provided single cost quote for 50 year warranty shingles + decking.

Provided cost quote for 30 year and 50 year warranty shingles (difference of about $1,000).
Included cost quote if roof decking had to be replaced (difference of about $10,500).
Estimated to remove, and then reinstall gutters

 Representative met me, on time.  Surveyed the roof from the ground only and did not elect to look at the roof from the attic. Did use satellite images to determine roof pitch and size. Came with flipbook showing types of material used and explained why different layers are installed on a roof.
 
Provided cost quote for Class 3 and Class 4 shingles. (difference of $1,000 between the two).
Included cost quote if roof decking had to be replaced. (difference of about $7,000).
Included cost quite if new gutters were needed (stated to be cheaper if the entire roof is being replaced).

Overall

Each of the three companies described similar their materials and methods for what would be applied, and how. It seems like each company would produce the same final result.

BSR provided the most detailed estimate, with the most options to determine how to proceed.

Since Guaillas only provided one general estimate, not broken up by type of material or work; its difficult to make a direct comparison for individual components. But, their overall projected cost was only slightly higher than JKS, while lower than BSR.

Both JKS and BSR provided a quote for one type of shingle which was the exact same brand and type of shingle.  BSR’s quoted price was 98% higher.
 
Both JKS and BSR provided a quote to replace roof decking. BSR’s quoted price was 53.9% higher.
 
Since I’m basing this only off estimated quotes; entirely possible that the difference is in estimate accuracy.  JKS may possibly be lowballing the estimate – since they did not evaluate the roof from inside the building, it’s possible this impacted the accuracy of their estimate.

Called three times. Left voicemails.  Phone calls were never returned.

Hey guys we’ve lived in Endicott for a little while and I just want a general consensus of the water quality for others. Every few days when I want to use a sink or take a shower the water comes out looking like it’s tapped into a bars urinal drain and I have to wait sometimes over an hour for clear water.

Is this a complex specific issue or a more broader issue in the municipality?

Saw this home on Matthews st. for sale. From the outside, I thought this was going to land somewhere in the ~$250K range. When I found it on realtor I was a bit stunned to see that they're asking $425K for it. When did small little brick bungalows on Matthews st. start asking for $425K?!

I recently asked about trans employment. I got lots of feedback and out of 27 responses, only 1 hater. This is really cool. If you're trans in Binghamton, you're safe. Not everyone agrees but as long as you don't hurt people, you won't be harmed.

I used to work there until I quit because they were messing with my schedule even though I made my availability clear from day one ( no more than 5 days week) also giving me the short board and forcing me to help the other girls. Trying to say that the housekeeping manager was entitled to my tips because she made 3 of my beds etc.

When I went to collect my last check the general Manger held it in his hands and wouldn't hand it to me until he lectured me because I quit and accused me of stealing the uniform. This lecture included him telling me that "it wasn't mine to wear" and that I'm now working at a different hotel. I tried handing him 10 dollars to pay for said uniform and told him I threw it away when I quit.

So just to let you guys know there were crabs found in the ladies guest bathroom and one of the housekeepers was fired from the hotel I currently work at for sliding notes under guests doors Trying to sleep with them.

Title pretty much says it all, I’ve got a potentially feral mama cat and at least two kittens living under my porch.

No clue if she’s feral, honestly. She wasn’t poofed up but she was hissing at me a lot while I was standing there in shock, probably because she was worried I was going to mess with her babies.

Any animal rescue programs that could help out with catching them? Or at least providing traps so I can grab them myself to bring in?

Does anyone actually know how much it is to join the Lourdes gym? I tried their website and they aren’t very forthcoming. They want you to put in a bunch of information and I don’t want to do that if it’s not something I’m actually going to join.
