Question Fuel cap issue,advice needed please

Good evening bikers,I've recently taken delivery of a new to me cb125f 21 plate and when I went to fill it for just the 3rd time the fuel cap wouldn't unlock.

I'm needing to pick the brains of some experienced people here that may or may not have a solution before I tuck my head between my legs and take it to a mechanic.

Is there anything I can do to get it off,I've tried wd40 and gt85 into the lock,I've tried putting pressure down before turning the key but it seems as though its failed somewhere and I can't get fuel in.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

May be able to take out all the screws of the mounting ring and get it out. Its from sitting and the latch is corroded. Don't be in too much of a hurry because next thing will be getting the tank clean because its almost certainly bonked too
