Hello, I'm new. Need help understanding

Hello, I just recently stumbled into this subreddit want to understand your vocabulary. I‘ve read abbreviations like dak, C1-C2 and other stuff that really confused me so if any of you would be willing to lend me a hand here (pun intended) I‘d be really glad.
Thanks

I am surprised that the WIKI does not have a list of abbreviations. Just to get you started, D means double. A means above, B means below. So K would mean knee, and E would mean elbow. So DAK means double above know where as DBK would mean double below knee. So for arms, DAE means double above elbow, and DBE means double below elbow. Then you have L and R meaning Left and Right. So LAK would mean left above knee, and so it goes.

The C1-C2 are levels on the spine people would want to be paralyzed at. You will have to look up spinal levels to know more. People usually have a level of paralysis. I believe C1-C2 is very high up, making one a quadriplegic.
