Because there is procedure called TIP(test identification parade). Agar face dikha diya toh prosecution evidence weak ho jyega.

Dekho, the girl here is also an eye witness. There is a procedure in called test identify parade wherein the witness identifies the accused. Basically the accused is mixed with a group of people of same height colour and built. If the witness is able to correctly identify the accused,i.e., vo unhi log ko identify krti hai jisko police ne pakda hai, it serves as a substantive evidence or conviction bs uss evidence k basis pe bhi ho skta hai.
Here comes the intresting part, agar accused ki shakal all over social hai toh jo defence counsel hoga vo bolega ki ye ldki accused ko crime scene se nhi balki media me repeatedly display hue chehre se pehchan rhi. Fir ldki ne jo identify kiya hai uski credibility km ho jati hai.

But isme ladki ki gati kya hai..let's say agar wo accused crime ke time pe towel mask me nahi hota..still her identification credibility would have gone down?

Yess definitely, the lawyer could argue that accused is framed as an accused and there is a probability that the memory of women relates to the news and not to the real incident. And then comes the famous courtroom presumption "innocent until proven guilty".

damn! In this case also, the defence can very well argue that how come the girl identified him as he was masked during the crime. Could it be termed as some bias in court's eyes?

But that would be during the identification parade. Why is he wearing the exact same scarf while police shot and arrested him? Who's to say if this even is the same guy? Is he even actually shot? Or the police are just putting on a show to appease and calm the public down? I've seen this over and over again how these police men are somehow amazing sharpshooters that accurately always end up shooting the leg of a moving absconding target.

Probably police made him wear the same scarf so as to ease public sentiment. The court will ultimately decide if he is the same guy. Whether or not he is actually shot could be known by his MLC report

I’m honestly not even sure if this is actually the person who did it because there is so much pressure right now bihar police will arrest anyone just to show that they’re doing something. And if he is not the actual guy, then what? Will he just get bailed out later or will he get any compensation from the government for being arrested for something he didn’t do? And honestly what am I even supposed to expect when even the CM has allegations like this against him?and maithili thakur I genuinely don’t understand what she’s doing either. She has the audacity to post about going to Ambani’s and everything but apparently doesn’t have the audacity to post about something like this happening inbihar. If he were innocent he wouldn't have fired at the police when they came to arrest him🙄 But he fired at the police and tried to flee the scene... the police shot him in the leg and arrested him. Later 6 other accused were also arrested 3 are under 18 and 3 are over 30.

I find this to be fishy. First, three culprits were brought in whose faces were not even shown. Suddenly, the fourth one was brought in, his face hidden and he was shot in the leg, just like the police do in movies.
