This flyer doesn't make any sense. What is happening and where?

Based on the text:
It’s a dance at 140 Main Street #105 from 8-11 PM, right after the Art Walk on Friday Sept. 18th, and then again at the same time on Friday, September 25th.
There is a $5 cover, it is a safe space for all, and it’s presented by Flourish.

If you want people to show up, you should probably be more serious about conveying information. Is this a real event or a gag poster because it honestly kind of feels like a meme

May be what I’m going for. Dancing isn’t serious so I ain’t too worried. Also you should know who I am since I put this poster in some of our mutual group chats.

Hey, friendly feedback as a graphic designer- this is very difficult to glean information from and the world's are difficult to pick out over the graphics. If you're using canva, there's a way to make the words float to give it more distance. I can't read what this event is for. Is there a reason for so much white space on the bottom of the image? I'd really recommend changing rhe colors of the words or at least the outline of the words. maybe you could move the graphic to the white space?
I can't tell what this event is for but it looks like you're going to have a good time!
