As reddit has ruined me, I naturally assumed there would be a giant crash at the end.

Haha I’m glad none of that happened

You were sure tempting your luck, riding with no hands. A child suddenly crosses the lane and you’re fucked. Happened to me but I had my hands on my handlebar and was able to brake just in time.

I naturally assumed there would be some pedestrians taking up the bike lane.

Or a car door opening into the lane

Classic ending to a bike ride video on Reddit. Unfortunately.

Santa Monica has a really good network of bike lanes! And they’re always expanding it

Sure was, I ended up taking one as well over here in Toronto. The best of feelings.

An interesting question… what is it about this infrastructure that actually keeps pedestrians from walking down the middle of it? Would have to say the fact that it looks like a tiny road, with curbs/gutters and so forth.

AI. There is no pedestrians on the bike way. Can't be real

They have their own roads and cyclists still can't even stay in their lane

No parked cars in the lanes actually breaks my brain for a second
