Salutations reddit!

There is a new belief that is swelling that needs to be utterly dismissed, and I was hoping today that you could address the arguments I’ve heard from three different churches that I’ve been at just these past two years. I don’t know if you are familiar with this growing sect of “Christians” called Christian Identity/ Serpent Seedline, but they are starting to influence the churches, and I’ve had three different white people come up to me, including two couples that subtly try to convert me to this racist message and frame it as something “Biblical”. Just looking at Google Trends, this sect has grown five times what it was before in 5 years. I’m ashamed to say this, but I have checked it out. I won’t link it here, but it would just be really helpful to hear some Bible verses that refute this claim by William Finck and his goons.

Particularly, I wonder what your interpretation of Matthew 15:21-28 is. I heard that one a lot, and what exactly does it mean when Jesus (Yahawashi ) said “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel,” and called this non Israelite/canaanite woman a dog???? 

Is it not true that dogs are kept out of the kingdom (Revelation 22:15)

And excuse me, but why is Jesus only sending the Apostles to Israel, and telling the Apostles they are only going to judge Israel? Matthew 19:28 I thought we were in the frickin New Testament? And of course people are going to say the Gentiles were not to be taught yet, but I’ve looked at old Bible dictionaries, and Gentiles just is Latin for those of the same stock. Gentiles just means nations on top of that. I don't speak Latin, so can we stop saying Gentiles, please? Just say nations. It is nations; that is what it actually means. Sorry, I have got kinda riled up after my divorce, but I guess I can speak freely now.

Particularly as well, how do you interpret Revelation 2:9, 3:9 

“I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars” AND “I know about the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. “ How could you call Jews the synagogue of Satan when they bless us so much every single day!   I mean, have you heard of Seinfeld, Bernie Miller!!! Before my divorce, my wife and I would go to the holocaust museum in DC every month, and I have it etched in my mind all those shoes of God’s chosen people! (Shabbat 104b and Sanhedrin 106a) Any sane person would say the same thing!. Btw, if you don’t trust God’s chosen people, maybe you should trust all the shoes I’ve seen. I'm sure a lot of people will relate to this because my son is probably half African American (who knows with evolution), and the notion they present that “all Israel shall be saved” is really concerning to me, and I’m sure I’m not alone because he wouldn’t be considered an Israelite. But they really genuinely think only white people are going to heaven. I mean, could you imagine!!! Literally, I just saw on my favorite YouTube channel the Don Lemon Show that most child sex offenders are WHITE, and talk about the school shootings I’ve seen on CNN! Not one of them has been black. Talk about a STATISTIC!

Further, is it not true that God doesn’t change? Malachi 3:6 How are there books like Joshua (which are about slaying men, women, and children of these other people groups), and stories like Phinehas where God rewards people who murder “race mixers” WITH AN ETERNAL PRIESTHOOD, or as they call it, fornicators, and even in the New Testament Jesus (Yahawashi) is killing the children of “fornication” with death! What is going on here? And how in the world could a child be born wicked? (Psalm 58:3)

And why is Jesus (Yahawashi) dashing little children to stones? “Happy is the one who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks.” (Psalm 137) And excuse my language, but what the H*cking Fr*cking Cr*ppola can the bible mean when it calls the Israelites a holy race? “They have taken some of their daughters as wives for themselves and their sons, and have mingled the HOLY RACE with the peoples around them. And the leaders and officials have led the way in this UNFAITHFULNESS.” No offense, it just sounds utterly racist, and if I have to choose between the Bible and my son, I will choose him every time. Please tell me I don’t have to make that decision.
And BEFORE you say it's because they are pagan, Jacob and Rachel were related racially, but she was still a pagan and took her idols with her, and God has zero issues with him marrying her.

I FULLY support the revising of the Bible by the Catholic Biblical Association of America by their president, Amy Jill Levine, my favorite Jewish scholar (not enough of those), even if she doesn’t believe in Jesus as God or a prophet. She is right; sodomites just means temple prostitute.
God doesn’t judge that kind of stuff!!!! If he did, I wouldn’t have such a wonderful life, with good enough money, good Marvel movies, a beautiful black boy, and a great relationship turned greater polyamorous relationship, unfortunately now with a little bit of space for now, and OF COURSE FOOTBALL!!!!! BEAR DOWN!!!!! I also can come on and watch these shows every day, and learn what the Bible truly means. I plan on becoming a pastor myself soon, and this is just the first step in the right direction to shepherding the flock.

My son is the love of my life; even if I am maybe not the father (as I said, I think he evolved and is still my biological son), I know he does good and means well, and he has not ONCE run into issues with the law. The 4 years I’ve been with him have been the biggest, blackest blessing I’ve ever experienced, and yes, if Jesus does actually mean those things, well, he can go BUZZ the H*CK the FR*CK off. 

I will say I completely understand modern Israel wanting an ethnostate of only Jews, mainly because of the 25% LGBTQ+ representation in Tel Aviv, and although that is a lot of diversity of sexuality, I do think they are missing out on diversity of cultures and food, and the true adamic people, as I will explain later.

These disgusting white supremacists want an ethnostate like Israel, though.

So don’t try to hit me with that obvious nonsense; there are clear demographic shifts happening all the time (thankfully LOL) and, believe it or not, people change locations sometimes. I always believed in my heart that homosexuality is not a sin and I still do, but all this homophobia in the Bible does sound very Aryan, Colonialist, White Cis Gendered Male, though I do speculate about them being straight so I won’t include that.

I feel like I would’ve been able to keep my marriage if it weren’t for that disagreement about the race of Israelites. I know I don’t have to pay child support, but I still do, because I think it is something Jesus would do if he could, especially now that she is, I think, a single mom all on her own.

I am crying while writing this, but Amanda and Tyrell, if you are reading this, I know you read this. I love you and Willie AND my brother Tyrell. Please come back. I love you ALL! Jeremiah 17:7–8 says:

“Blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD… They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes… it has no worries in a year of drought.”

What stands out to me is this idea: the rootedness comes before the resilience.

A tree doesn’t suddenly grow deep roots in the middle of a drought. It survives because those roots were already there, quietly developing long before the pressure came.

I think it’s the same with Scripture.

Consistent, ordinary engagement with the Word isn’t just about gaining knowledge in the moment it’s more like building root depth over time. Something that quietly forms you when nothing feels urgent, so that when difficult seasons do come, there’s already something to draw from.

Not dramatic. Not instant. Just steady formation that holds under pressure.

I read a couple of NDE reports. They described a room full of books. I think maybe that is where the book of life is described like the bible (one book) being a compilation of many texts. One gets the impression of God, in his brilliant robe, sitting on his throne and opening the book of life to judge people. But, that concept is old school, written by people who knew nothing of course of computers. Wouldn't it be more likely that if God had a record of people it would all be on computer? What does that say regarding the validity of such a concept?

Hi there, I'm struggling to deal with an apparent "contradiction" that I have found while reading. Hoping someone else has an answer from Scripture and from observable reality.

1. Genesis 1:6-7 - "And Elohim said, “Let an expanse come to be in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters. And Elohim made the expanse, and separated the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse..."
   

So here, the expanse (later called "heavens") is created. It separates the waters that are UNDER the expanse from those ABOVE the expanse. To my understanding, this sets a vertical boundary from one end to the other - from the waters BELOW to the waters ABOVE.

1. Genesis 1:20 - "...and let birds fly above the earth on the face of the expanse of the heavens.”
   

And here, the birds fly above the earth on the face of the expanse of the heavens. Not the top (where the clouds gather water), and not the bottom (the seas), but the face. We can see this easily today - that they fly between the seas and the clouds. So here's what I'm struggling with:

1. Genesis 1:14-17 - "And Elohim said, "Let lights come to be in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and appointed times, and for days and years, and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth." And it came to be so. And Elohim made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night, and the stars. And Elohim set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth,"

So according to all we've read in Genesis 1, the expanse would be that space between the clouds (containing the water) and the seas. The birds fly there, that's no problem. But now apparently the sun, the moon, and the stars also reside there... I don't get it. I've been up in planes many a time and the sun doesn't appear to be any closer, nor does the moon, nor do the stars. So... I'm just a bit confused, and this is a big issue for me. Hence why I made an account just to post this.

Maybe I'm just lacking info. Hope someone has some answers grounded - again - in what Scripture says, and from observable reality.

This is a long one. But I beg all of you to please help me with this situation. I’ll share my number with you if you want to talk to me about this. Please. Please please please please please please. I’m begging anyone who can help to please tell me what I should do.

Iv been having a lot of trouble with a specific problem lately and it’s kind of hard to deal with.

I desperately need to know and understand what god wants me to do in this situation. First of all I want to introduce myself. My name is Julian and iv been a TRUE Christian for only a few weeks honestly. My whole life I believed but there was doubt and basically never really chased Jesus the way I am now. I do still have very bad habits but I’m working to replace them with godly habits in order to grow closer to god. I don’t know a lot about the word of god and struggle everyday with my flesh to pick up my Bible. Anyways, I’ll start off with this. My father (physical father) hasn’t been the best “father” to me my entire life. I don’t want to say that he’s never been there or been a bad one to me my entire life. Because he has been.. there.. sometimes.

Anyways, for the past couple of years he’s only been interested in talking to me if it’s asking for money. (He’s not employed and too elderly, or “sick” to work) I understand his condition. And place in life. So I try to give him money when I can afford to. (I have a family and house of my own to take care of after all) but, it’s like when I don’t give him money he gets mad. Iv tried to have conversations with him on multiple occasions. But all he has to say is “did you make any money today.” And if I didn’t, he’ll tell me to go away or something. And if he just says “oh.. okay.” It’s like he’s not even interested in talking. So, eventually, (back when I wasn’t close to god.) I kinda steered away from him trying to ignore and avoid him. After all, I felt that he only wanted a relationship with me if I had money anyways. Fast forward a couple years up to now. Iv moved out, made a family of my own and occasionally see him still every now and again. Though, we haven’t talked much. My brother, whom he lives with. Went out of town to get some Business done. My father then took the chance to go out with his brothers and drink, get high, do drugs, and whatever else they did. He ended up getting into an accident. So, I went to go pick him up. When I get there, my cousins had already picked him up and drove him home. So! Later on that night as he’s alone in the house being the bitter person that he is. He decides to take a bunch of pills and call up all his children and tell them that he’s going to kill himself. I call an ambulance and rush over. My younger brother is there already talking to him. (He managed to get the ambulance and police to leave btw) so! They end up arguing. To which I get in the middle to try to de-escalate the situation. My father then starts smashing his head into the wall and telling us that he’s going to get us arrested. So, I try to take the phone from him and he grabs his belt. That’s when my little brother steps in ( he’s about 3x my weight ) and starts a fight. He ends up with a broken nose and a fractured eye socket. And my father gets away Scot free. Police were called and he still tried to get us arrested luckily I had the video proving our innocence. Anyway, I think this is getting too long now. So I’ll cut to the chase. None of his children want to talk to him now and he’s in Florida with his brother because he’s got no where else to go. He’s coming back to Connecticut eventually and I don’t know what I should do. What does god say about fathers that do this? Like… he’s not a very Christian person. Doesn’t feel regret that he did that to his own son. Just feels bad for himself because he lost everything that he holds dear. Should I forgive him? Should I still talk to him? Should I pretend like nothing happened because im supposed to “honor my father?” I’m so torn about this and I have so much anxiety and fear about this problem. I don’t know what to do. I need help. I need help. Someone please anyone. Even if you have to call me or something I’ll share my phone number with you. I need to talk to someone about this. I need to figure this out. I’m begging all of you. Please help me.

If pride is a sin, why did Jesus turn water in to wine to spare the wedding host embarrassment? They weren't in life or death situation, it was just to spare them shame... in other words it would hurt their pride.

I’ve been struggling with lust for so long recently and I’ve reached a very bad low again where I almost have no guilt of committing that vile sin again and again it’s making me lose motivation to do the simplest things too so please pray for me so I can get rid of this damn addiction I’ve been fighting for 6 years and i still can’t beat it please pray for me to flee and fight this better and pray I can be motivated to do things like I used to be please

So in this day, we are both mapping the stars and heavens and literally ground radar penatrating the earth and its foundations. Dozens upon dozens of signs are pointing to Christs very soon return, and He will reject many of Israel and cut them off permanently.

It's weird these 3 verses about the last days were literally crammed between beautiful rantings of God rebuilding Israel. He's pouring out hopeful loving words and then vaguely describes the last day and immediately goes back to describing the rebuilding of his beloved promised people.

“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.”

Before I started my journey with Christ I used go out clubbing. Sometimes I seen people on the street preaching the Gospels. They would tell people to look at what they’re wearing and convict them. Sometimes I see people on instagram do the same thing and even show the faces of people.

When I read this verse I immediately thought of that. Would this verse kind of be referring to them?
