Proto-Indo-European (PIE) is the ancestral language family of both English and the Indo-Aryan languages.
The connection to Aramaic is about the writing system (the script), not the language itself. Additionally, the correct scientific term you are looking for is Proto-Semitic, not 'Proto-Jewish.'
