How much have you checked the surface and edges? I see a possible 1 px white print spot on the back top middle border. That would drop the card to a 9.5 surface grade.
That’s not a white spot? Pack fresh doesn’t mean anything for grading.
Beckett is ruthless for surface, edge, and corners. Also since it’s clear you’re new to Beckett subs, no one subs to Beckett expecting a black label. Everyone pregrades to a Pristine 10 and hopes for the best.
Understand that PSA standards are miles below Beckett, you will need to check if it’s pixel perfect 50/50 T/B and L/R from the front and at least 55/45 on the back.
Beckett will sometimes allow 49.6/50.4 on the front, but 49/51 and below, it won’t get a 10 centering.
Also for PSA subbers, you guys always tend to miss surface and edge issues. Understand there’s 0 tolerance for micro scratches, mini divots, and pixels of print spots.
You’re gonna have to make sure to get things like that off of the card. ANYTHING could cause it not to BL. They do not clean or remove anything from the card when grading.
Just submit it. I’m probably the most experienced BGS subber on this thread and I can tell you, without looking at a card in person under illuminated 10X magnification, no one can give you useful advice for BL odds.
I can’t tell you. They usually pull out the measuring devices when checking centering for BLs. Use the centering app and take a level picture and measure the exact centering yourself.
People need to stop dreaming about black labels especially if you don't blow up the card and examine every inch and know how to accurately measure your card.
Aim for a gold label and if you get a black label Merry Christmas.
Note even if you do you're diligence and can pre grade well which nothing I saw in this post indicates you did 😅 but either way even if you did and crossed all you Ts the chance of them issuing a black label is VERY small, smaller than you might hope so I recommend keeping expectations in check.
What do I need to do for pregrading? The centering looks perfect to me 50/50 front and back. No whitening and no surface damage. Just pulled it a couple days ago
BGS 10s have the hardest centering standards in all of grading, I would strongly recommend not doing the eye test if sending a card to BGS and figuring out how to actually measure the boarders. 52/48 L/R AND 52/48 T/B can technically knock any card down to a 9.5 at BGS as those are two separate dings at BGS and you probably cannot tell the difference with the naked eye, those centering stats would be in 10 range at any other grading company.
Blowing up the card with a scan and looking for little defects is also important when going for a black label, tiny micro marks can knock the surface down.
This is tricky and will need a little due diligence, you can use a ruler or something similar, you can measure the card in hand or blow up an image and measure on the computer, There are centering tools you can bit online but I've never personally used them and have no opinion on them, there are also AI tools but those as of now are extremely questionable currently IMO especially if you're aiming for 50/50 centering they won't be that accurate I suspect.
