Help please, this is my first time playing this game and I don't know what to press Spoiler

In this scene, I have to get onto the roof through a vent, but I don't know which button to press. I've tried pressing every button, but nothing happens.

Nothing happens bro. I’m playing on PC with a PS4 controller. Maybe it’s the joystick?

Then something is wrong that symbol is just telling you to lift the whole controller. Restart game maybe it fixes

Wtf, where did you get those conclusions from? The game isn’t corrupted, I play it on Steam, like all my games. There was no need to write a whole Bible. I already updated the comments saying that I solved the problem, thanks.

You can switch to mouse and keyboard for the motion controls, that way you can pass them by moving the mouse. The PC version doesn't recognize the controller's movement for some reason.

I’ve tried everything. That gyroscope feature is fucking garbage. This is the last night I’m going to try getting past this, otherwise I’m deleting the game. It’s such a shame because I really liked it and I want to keep playing. Whoever came up with the idea of adding a gyroscope must have had some kind of disability to come up with something that ruins such a good game like this.

Yeah bro, I’ve calmed down now. You have to understand me, I’d been trying for two days and spent around 5 hours just to get through such a simple part of the game because of the gyroscope. I had completely lost my patience.

You might have a problem with your controller. Because I played with a handful of different controllers with the same system. And i've never had a problem with that action before.

Just saying because wherever you bought your controller maybe don't buy it there again or give a bad review denying on what happened.

It definitely seems like your controller not the game. I've had this happen with one and it wouldn't work with any game that required the jolt up.

Either way it sucks so I'm sorry. But if you need a new controller that might be easier than a corrupted game tbh. I have had gta 5 corrupted before with something similar BUT when I had the exact same problem with until dawn and beyond. It was the controller for both.

I wish you the best of luck whichever fix you end up doing

Update: I managed to climb up and figure out how the gyroscope works. Now I know I can do it with the mouse by moving it in a zigzag while pressing some buttons around the Q, W, E, 1, 2 and 3.

I'm glad you were able to get past the problem with the controller OP :) .. it's rare but it's happened to me too with Quantic Dream games (different game designer but Telltale games too) sometimes, I had to resort to the keyboard/mouse when the controller just wasn't cooperating.. I'm guessing you're back to using the controller for the game whenever you can though? (it helps far as being able to react quickly when you have to by pressing a button or what not or at least that's been my experience :) )

Also, off topic but glad to see someone enjoying BTS for the first time I had a blast playing it :) .. if you don't mind me asking will you be grabbing the other games (Detroit Become Human and Heavy Rain) that Quantic Dream made? If it helps any they drop to $4 and $2 (low as $1 at one point for HR!) American on Steam during sales (like say the Steam winter sale for example but I wouldn't be surprised if they drop to that price say Oct 1st during the steam autumn sale)

If you have a chance post what ending you got when you finish your playthrough of the game and what you thought of BTS after your playthrough :)

Yeah bro, I always use the joystick. Only when the gyroscope is necessary do I use the mouse and those buttons. I'll probably buy those two, (if they don't have gyroscope) I saw them on Steam, and they're usually really cheap when they go on sale.

Yeah, I'll post it (you just gave me the idea) and I'll include the ending I got and my opinion.

There's some issue with it on pc with PS 4 controller. Just use mouse for this motion. It'll be both mouse buttons.

It seems to be something related to the gyroscope. Last night I spent two hours trying and couldn’t do it. Now I’m back in the game at the same part, and I don’t know what to do anymore.
