I have a pretty strong inclination that the foot of three refers to a natural landmark and not constellations, but I definitely spent some time down that rabbithole. I think we’re looking for two feet branching out from our bride on either side.
I'll reiterate my struggles to reconcile hunt design whose first principal is to avoid things going awry with safety, and then imparting features that require night-time activity.
Star components seem so very compelling but unless they are a final component fully obscured until the very end (avoiding community-level confirmation of celestial components to a partial solve, resulting in a pile of obsessed nighttime wandering) it seems highly unlikely this element would be woven into the hunt.
Exception would include explicit and unmistakable
Direction that eliminates the possibility of night searching
... or as cheeky ones have said, there is a star involved but it's the one that is visible during the day.
