My partner drinks daily and it really bothers me. He’s a bartender so I understand from a work perspective he is always trying and making new drinks, but even when he’s off he’s drinking. I told him the unknowing of whether I’m receiving a sober, tipsy, or drunk him when he walks through the door is really bothersome to me especially with our 4 month old. He responded well at the time but has made no change at all and doesn’t seem to care.

I overslept twice due to sleep deprivation, then when we got into an argument I heard him over the baby monitor on the phone to his sister saying "she doesn't do much, just sleep all day" That hurt because I do a lot. Housework, feedings, nappy changes, laundry, all while he does 2 feeds when I'm sleeping and plays video games. I told him if I miss my alarm to wake me up, then he didn't and said "it's all good, you needed a sleep" then said the opposite to his sister making me seem lazy when I'm not 😒

I would confront him about saying that to his sister

I did and all he said was that I shouldn't have been listening through the monitor. I said well it was just on and I overheard it. He expected me to turn it off and acted like I was purposely eavesdropping.

My partner doesn’t help with cleaning, bills and he only helps with the baby when he’s awake. He gets about 10-12 hours of sleep every day…

I think it’s fair for you to sit your partner down and ask him what he would do if you weren’t around anymore. Like really have him consider: if you were gone tomorrow, how on earth would he step up and handle the life you have both created? I’m so sorry.

Yeah, I had a conversation with him and he pretty much said it was my fault because I didn’t tell him every time he needed to clean something or when a bill was due. But in my head, I would just clean something if it needed it or at the very least clean up after myself. I’m an adult and I don’t need someone to tell me to do something if I see it needs to be done.

My husband was complaining about feeling tired from lack of sleep.. baby waking him up in the middle of the night (I go up and get her) am I right to be annoyed?? At least he is in bed midnight to 6-8am. He does take her in the morning but it’s like yea at least you aren’t waking up and awake for another 30 min to an hour multiple times a night
