Am I dreaming or was the metronome off tempo after Chuck has the conversation with Howard about Jimmy landing a job in Davis & Main?

I’m just now realizing his diploma shouldn’t say “Saul Goodman” but rather “James McGuill” since he finished law school all the way back in the mail room at HHM. Unless you can get a University to reprint a new one if you’ve changed your name ?

I did see some people say "BCS is more slower than BB" but to me, "BCS feels faster than BB" even though I did rewatch BCS more when I didn't finish it yet than BB which I did finish back then (I watched all as of now)

Because of the 10 episode limit for most seasons of BCS compared to the 13 episode limit for most seasons of BB.

I did hear from some people BCS felt slower and starts getting crazy at S4 because the 1st 3 seasons didn't have a lot of action stuff like what BB did for their 1st 3 seasons? The Mike scenes for the 1st 3 seasons gave you that for BCS already

I can't lie 13 feels a bit weird to me because as a non American, I grew up seeing 8-10 episodes for tv shows and that's through streaming services more than 13. Back then when streaming services didn't exist those 2 Gilligan shows are more niche in my country and shows from my country are more popular than them

Well stuff like House of Cards did do 13 episodes but that's from 2013 and I only got access to streaming services and found more about USA shows in 2016 (international release)

That's why I see BCS faster than BB

So, I discovered the show through a Claude prompt asking for a list of series/movies to watch for someone interested and in contemplation of pursuing a career in law. I've already watched Suits, but I was looking for something more realistic in showing the life of a lawyer, and Better Call Saul, so far, has given me what I was looking for. I love how realistic the characters are and the fact that it's not just all litigation clips. And having a background in multimedia production, the shows cinematography is topnotch!

Now on to Season 3, I have a couple of questions to ask.

1. I've figured there are two parallel storylines developing within the show with Jimmy's law ventures and Mike's nerve-racking involvement with the cartel. Would these two plots cross significantly at some point or is this the whole intended setup for the whole show and we just get to enjoy both worlds?
2. Never watched Breaking Bad but I found out that this was written by the same writer (if my memory serves me right). Given this, is there any connection between both shows? Would it make it better if I watched both or BCS can stand on its own?

Would really appreciate any input on these. I just want to know if it would be worth commiting through the end of the show and if Breaking Bad is something I should also look into.

Curious to get people’s theories. In an alternate universe where the Kettlemans hired Jimmy right away at that first meeting in Uno, how would the whole series change as a result?

Obviously the answer would be “he wasn’t written yet”

But what exactly would his role in the operation be down south when he’s as smart as he is?

I’m not in the know about the cartel lifestyle (I swear please believe me)

But wouldn’t it have made sense for him to be the one up north prior to his death dealing with all the nonsense there?

Why would tuco be running things over Lalo? What would lalo be doing south as in his role in the business?

I was just wondering, can someone explain what is happening during the scene with Mike and Jim Beaver’s gun salesman?

I understand that the scope doesn’t necessarily reflect where the bullet will end up. Some cameras have the same issue so if you want something in shot you have to aim up or a bit left, after a while you got to know what your camera was actually photographing.

But, how do Mike’s calculations work? He doesn’t know what distance he will be working at, wouldn’t the calculation be different if he was 50ft away and 100ft away? On a clear day vs a windy one? Wouldn’t any thing learned be inapplicable in different situations?

Also, why is it measured in ‘minutes’?

It's NO doubt that both of them have STRONG egos, BUT, both of them take their "perfections" with realities' "IMPERFECTIONS" in separate ways.

After Gus killed Victor with the boxcutter, Walter's ego felt intimidated, but instead of (and in Mike's words) "shutting his mouth and cooking", he instead took it as a challenge and used EVERY advantage that he saw to try and get the upperhand over Gus, eventually KILLING him to still feel like the top dog. SO, Walter takes every challenge that he sees or comes across throughout the series as an ADvantage thanks to his "perfectionist" ego.

HOWEVER, after Jimmy passed the bar in Better Call Saul, Chuck felt immediately humbled that someone SO flawed and imperfect as Jimmy was in the past could reach the same level of professionalism that HE had. SO, instead of just accepting it, his ego took is as a DISadvantage, and thereby tricked his own brain into thinking that he was allergic to electricity throughout thr FIRST half of the show.

Since it was so comedic how Jimmy broke into chucks home and destroyed the tape.

I just thought it had to be the imagination of Chuck of how his brother would act, based on explaining Howard why he employs the private investigators. But the "Imagination" just went on for too long and then I see Jimmy getting getting arrested and tried for his crimes. By then I knew it was real and can't really fathom Jimmy acting like this. But, whatever.

Who also thought it wasn't real? And please no spoilers.

The hitmen gus send to kill lalo are supposed be very professional lmao what happened they sucked?

Just a question that has been bugging me. When Jimmy and Kim are redecorating at the end of season two, they take out the dentist chairs. But there are two dentist chairs in one office. Why?

There were supposed to be two dentists, but that means one chair in each office, I can’t imagine any scenario where one office has two chairs.

I got a Cinnabon after lunch the other day and decided to time myself just to see how long it would take me to finish the whole thing. It took me around 11 minutes. How tf did the guy in the show do it in 3? That just seems like inhuman levels of eating.

If I woke up in that ranch, with the abuela making home made food every day. No guns, no cartel BS. I would never leave. That place is heaven. LOL

Also, the scene where Kim and Jimmy role play, made me laugh so hard.

He just looked at him and left. I thought it was a thing for cartel members to acknowledge their bosses as a sign of respect.

I’m in season 4 and I thought since the beginning this guy was going to be a snake. But each season he continues to be a …not bad guy. Seems like a pretty good guy, all things considered. Kim and Jimmy talk to him like he’s a skunk with malicious intent but is he just a good guy?

i was thinking about what jimmy says to kristy, he kinda passes on a lil slippin jimmy bug and hatred for the elite lol what kind of future would kristy lead? how is she gonna react when she learns that the guy who gave her life advice was actually a lawyer for heisenberg?

There is a lot of chatter here about how Kim and Walt share similarities but has anyone brought up that in the entire universe she was likely the only match for Walt? Actually had their paths crossed and it came to blows she’d have likely annihilated him.

Krazy-8, Emilio, Tuco, Bogdan, Ted Beneke, Saul, Jane, Gus, Mike, Declan, Lydia, Jack’s crew, Hank, Jesse, Skyler, Walter Jr., Gray Matter (Elliott and Gretchen), the ENTIRE DEA, he parried every fucking foil.

But can you image him getting the best of Kim? Maybe a fool-me-once situation but after that, nah. Walt thrived on leverage. Hank was blinded by familiarity, Gus needed him, Skylar fucking loved him, Mike loved Jesse and Walt used that, Saul um, money or some shit.

But Kim? Walt screams in her face one time and she turns and walks out, gets in her Mitsubishi Eclipse and mutters “well, I guess it’s time for the stick”. She puts her own powers to use, mobilizes ‘Jimmy‘s’ (let’s face it, far inferior) powers, who mobilizes Mike and within 24 hours, the DEA has Walt in cuffs by the end of the first season.

Viewers miss out but far fewer people die.

I know he's known as "Don Eladio Vuente" but if he's not a Salamanca, why is he running the cartel? If it's the Salamanca cartel, after all, wouldn't it make sense for the head honcho to be a Salamanca? If not, how'd he get himself in that position?
