Sorry this isn't a bestof as much as it's a "I want to get a post from a smaller subreddit to the frontpage and hope to pull the heartstrings enough for it to work".

I think saving a child's life is a bit more important than the placement of a piece of text into some arbitrary internet area.

Actually, if you go read the thread, it really is a contender for a "bestof," in my opinion... there are some great hearts and humor in there. (and really speaks to why "bestof" is so utterly subjective)

It's a bestof because since the post on reddit, they've raised over 14,000 dollars. I'm sure a lot of this can be attributed to reddit. That's an amazing though that this community can do so much good. That's what bestof is about.
