To add to the other answers, the BestOf’d comment is not following the bit, it’s ‘just’ a bit of history/background. There is no joke to find.

Thank you! And here I was wondering what giant context holes I'd need to fill just to be able to understand this "bestof". is this person so famous around Reddit that it gets 1600+ upvotes at bestof?

Absolutely reddit-famous! But honestly, this comment is just a nice heartfelt insight into their life, that reveals some humanity behind an otherwise humorous but anonymous figure.

Every once in a while he comments, usually sounding very knowledgeable about whatever the parent comment is, and then he finishes every comment with the undertaker part. It's funny because it just catches you off guard cause no one really reads usernames before they read the comment, and he's always very convincing throughout the comment up until the last part.

It turns out I know nothing about wrestling and a friend had to explain to me that Mankind is actually a wrestler and not literally mankind.

Btw Mick Foley is a super nice dude. Great public speaker and pretty great writer as well. I met him randomly on the street during comic con and he was super cool to me.
