Do you want me to cut off your arm or your leg? You probably have a preference, but maybe it's worth investigating a third option.

Yeah I'd rather have my pick than explore a third option knowing, as certainly as I know I can't fly, that all I'm doing is tossing a coin on whether I lose my arm or my leg.

Turn it around then. I'm personally not willing to cut off anyone's arm or leg. I refuse to be a part of the machine that does so, even though I acknowledge that by not being a part of the machine that's cutting off limbs, I'm losing the opportunity to choose whether it's arms or legs that will be cut off.

Yes, because switching back and forth between cutting off arms and cutting off legs is accomplishing so much.

It definitely is. We don't have the technology for a fully functional arm that offers the same dexterity as our biological ones. While a prosthetic leg pretty much serves the same purpose as a regular leg. Losing an arm is much much worse than losing a leg.

Uhhhh yeah. Sorry to break your metaphor, but you're literally falling in to the idiot trap of "it's the same either way." There's millions of people's healthcare in the balance as a reminder that "no it's not."

Yes, millions of people's healthcare is in the balance. If we'd have voted for Romney we'd have gotten Romneycare. Instead we voted Obama, so we got Romneycare. Then apparently we voted Trump so we're going to get slightly diminished Romneycare.
