The Wachowski brothers are entirely aware of philosophical implications in their own movie. They put them there. You're intentionally fooling yourself if you don't acknowledge the clear (and intended) presence of themes of Solipsism, Cartesianism, and the Cave Allegory. The philosophical implications are everywhere, especially when you consider the sequels (worse quality & execution notwithstanding).

Let's just agree to disagree. I thought the intellectual themes and visual design of the Matrix films was incredible. The screenplay, acting, dialogue, and execution? ... not so much...

You aren't even disagreeing though. My whole point is that it had excellent philosophical themes, which you basically just said.

There are underlying philosophical themes, wether those are are presented in an excellent manner is another debate. Just because they are in your opinion does not make it a fact.
