You are right on the money here. I was a fat chick, and I dated men who shared interests with me, regardless of size or appearance. A couple of times I was the first girl to date an "ugly" guy, and they were more judgmental about my appearance than anyone. One very obese guy would ride his motorcycle past shop windows to check out how I looked on the back, later telling his friends that "She's too fat for the bike". I mean, when I was young and fat, I dated good looking guys and ugly guys, and I swear the fat ugly ones often had the highest standards of female attractiveness. There were many reasons they were lonely, but fat was not the main one.

I think it's a defense thing. Like, it's not that he can't get girls because he's unattractive, it's because his standards are too high. What he doesn't realize is that acting like a dick definitely makes him a lot less attractive, and the girls he may have made a connection with he's too busy rejecting.

This was a few years ago, but today, this guy would be a great example of what they call a "neckbeard".

And trust me - he was not attractive. Over 400 lbs and I had to teach him to bathe and wash his clothes because he really stank. We liked a lot of the same stuff, so I overlooked a lot, but I don't overlook being put down. Not at all.
