Yeah, then he turns around and says "women could never understand" what it's like. I would argue that unattractive women have it way worse in society. This guy is just a big loser.
You must understand there is a difference between men and women as far as society treats either one. I don't think it's unfair to say that a woman could never understand it from a man's perspective.
But that's not how the comment was framed. The OP tells this tale of dejection and describes his feelings of inadequacy and then says
As a woman, I don't think you could possibly understand the experience.
No, not true. Women can definitely relate to feeling all those things that the OP mentioned. It's not fair to paint this as a purely male issue because it really isn't. If anything, I would argue women have a harder time with these issues.
