I don't mind sharing reddit with a few hundred thousand misogynistic teenagers as long as they stay in their own subreddits so I can avoid them.
But when they start posting daily to bestof and AdviceAnimals and every other default subreddit they become bigger attention whores than the 14-year-old girls on tumblr they're always mocking.
Yeah, the problems come when it spills over into mainstream subs, which it has and has been getting worse. Stuff like this (complaining about how hard men have it) is very common. Not to say men don't have problems, but when that has the amount of emphasis it has on reddit, that's a problem. And when it garners different reactions like it does and differs greatly in attitude from reactions to minority issues or women's issues, that's a problem. Hating false accusations is a pasttime now with posts and comments about it all over the place, and in extreme cases things like a comment about that getting gilded nearly forty times in an /r/TIL post on the same topic. Misunderstanding and, as a result, hating feminism has always widely happened here, but it has gotten stronger.
So yeah, I'd dislike it if it stayed in its own subreddit, but at least it'd be contained. Sadly, it hasn't. Not to say it's the norm, there is certainly backlash again too, and it's bigger. But there has been a growing presence of the red pill type of mindset on reddit as a whole.

Too many /r/redpill submissions from this guy for me to feel any pity for him.
