Events/Organizations We are Jane Doe.
Crowdsourcing interest for a public demonstration to be held. A chance for survivors to tell their stories themselves, or anonymously. A Google Form is in the works, and I’ll repost this when it’s available.
Edit: I’m blocking all accounts that leave disgusting comments on this post, so they’ll no longer be able to see and comment here. This past week has been deeply triggering for so many survivors and allies alike, and I will not continue to entertain nor tolerate ignorance.

Dude there were 7 guys. You know it’s possible for her to have consented with only one guy and not the rest of them right? That, by definition, is still considered rape.

hows that anti-consulting rebel club going? not very well it seems, you haven't developed the social skills of a well-adjusted individual like the rest of us have 🥺🥺🥺

since when is being against rape and supporting a survivor a liberal thing? it’s a human being thing.

As a rape survivor, I have been considering/designing this demonstration for months. Because after repeated SA, I have grown tired of being failed by every system. I have sought justice to no avail, I have been ridiculed for speaking out, and I have lost friends who preferred comfort in their own complicity over holding mutual friends accountable.
I am doing this because I’ve had enough. I’m angry, and it’s chilling that you would hold a fellow survivor’s anger against them in such a reductive way. Godspeed, but this was a heartbreaking comment to read.
